If color only exists because of our eyes then how does the world normally look without the manipulation of our eyes?

If we could not see visible light with our eyes, then we are blind, unless you are on about if humans where not around and how would light look. The visible portion of light is what makes up the Electromagnetic spectrum. While humans can only see over a specific frequency range other animals can see or sense both UV and Infrared red light. Some can also feel heat that is produced from light (EMS) impacting a surface. Irrespective of humans not being able to see light, it exists throughout the universe where ‘light’ emitting objects exist.

Another example is the Paveway family of guided weapons, these rely on the reflected laser light that is produced by a laser designator pod.

The target his designated with a land or airborne laser, the bombs sensors then find this reflected laser light and adjust the bombs flight to home in on the source of the light, hence very accurate.
That is all light, so we have devices that do react to ligh.

So color is an illusion, that our eyes and brain give off based on how something is reflected off that object. Giving us the illusion of colors.

But things more grayish, or a darker shading of things around us.

Now how do we see colors:

Every color that people see is actually inside their head, and the stimulus of color, of course, is light.

As light pours down on us from the sun, or from a lightbulb in our home, objects and surfaces absorb some wavelengths of light and reflect others.

So ironically speaking people who are considered truly colorblind are who see the world for how it truly looks.

It doesn't exist only because of our eyes. There is a very wide spectrum of light from our sun; a lot of which we can't see with our eyes.

We have just labeled some frequencies red, green and blue.

Plants use what we call green and look green consequently. They need other frequencies or colors as well.

There is no normal. Some things absorb certain frequencies and some reflect certain frequencies (which is the color they are to us) and some do both.

Our eyes don't manipulate other than not seeing infra red or ultra violet very well and anything higher or lower. in frequency.

Wrong question. Color doesn't really exist, it's 100% fabricated by your brain not your eyes. You could look at the same object and it will appear as a different color depending on the context the world and your mind at that moment

Well apparently the world is fundamentally quantum fields. Everything and everyone are waves of probabilities within those fields.

I don't think it's possible for our brains to grasp how the world fundamentally "looks" because we are looking from within those quantum fields.

There is also the issue that we don't even know if quantum field theory is the most fundamental theory in the universe. Physics might go even deeper than quantum physics. On top of that, our quantum mechanical theories aren't even complete yet. So trying to understand how the universe fundamentally "looks" is currently very difficult. But yes it is very interesting to think about

@OlderAndWiser I was just color bling enough to flunk the color threshold test in the Air Force.

That is exactly how I learned about it. I joined AFROTC in my freshmen year of college, immediately got an exam, and was told that I am colorblind.

@OlderAndWiser I was able to fake the test during the flight physical but after freshman year they send you to basic training for 12 weeks. Thy have other more stringent tests and the color threshold test was one of them. The had me take it three times. Each time i did a little worse. Finally they dropped me from the program. I lost my scholarship and had to drop out of school.
