Why do atheists on social media seem so rude?

Each time they see a post about X religion, they always feel the need to add their own unsolicited opinion (even in cases when it wasn't asked). Also, they are unwilling to engage in any kind of constructive/civilized discussion, but namecall others. I don't understand why can't people be more respectful to each other, whether they believe in the existence of a God, or not. I don't know if anyone else has had a similar experience to me.

Some people are rude on social media, mostly unpopular people in the RL. they vent the frustration they bring from the RL because loneliness, being ignored etc. on the internet. That’s why a lot people so rude, or even trolling in the internet.
So it’s not about atheist, it’s in general.

I’m a Christian and I never noticed this. Then again, I’ve never debated religion with an atheist online.

I'm an atheist and I don't care that you're religious. In fact, I envy the people who believe they will be reunited with their loved ones after death. I'm sure there's comfort in that belief, but I simply cannot force myself to believe it.

Don't lump all atheist together. Please.

Many of them are attention hounds who want to sound smart while looking down on people. They are just immature.
