Why Do Single Women Choose IVF?

This question is directed at single women who choose to get pregnant via IVF rather than the more common method of sex. This isn't directed at couples who choose IVF because they had difficulty conceiving and used IVF as a last ditch effort.

For the single women who choose IVF, why did you go that path rather than form a relationship w/ a man? When your child (ren) got older, how did you handle their question as to why and where their dad was? Knowing what you know now, would you do it all over again? What other difficulties did you experience going down this route? How did your family react to your decision?

Higher birth rates if you struggle with fertility, wanting to experience motherhood with no desire for a romantic relationship. Having a baby with someone is a huge deal and choosing the wrong man for that has devastating consequences not just for the women but for a child. It’s a gamble that some women aren’t willing to make

The answer would change for each individual women. Circumstance, age, motivation, trauma. All in all i view it at one of the safer and most aggressive methods to start a family, without what complications having a male partner could bring

My girlfriend and I priced it and it was far too expensive. So rather than IVF and sperm banks we had threesomes with a guy until we both got pregnant.

@TDDMS because they are old and hard to get pregnant by normal sex, it will take longer then IVF
