What are things you find unforgivable?

It's said that people will forgive, but then never forget. However, is there anything that you just truly will not forgive?

As I've gotten older, a really big one for me is endangering the lives or livelihoods of people around you. I don't care who you are, or what our relationship was before you started on your bullshit; the instant I see that, you'll start getting phased out and contained. You'll get the double time treatment if you're negatively impacting me directly. I simply can't afford to have someone like that around. This also applies to dumbshit little "pranks" gone wrong, or "jokes" that always seem to make me look like an asshole in public.

If you want to act dumb and reckless on your own time, that's between you and the divine creator. The problem is that I can really only afford to give you one shot. I would prefer to be patient, but my life experience has been that anyone who was sloppy enough to let that happen once is sloppy enough to let it happen more than once. And if you let it happen more than once, our connection could cost me dearly (and it's happened to me before).

I think I'd say most things in general are forgivable, though some might be easier and harder to forgive than others.

For the most undoubtedly heinous things that are unforgivable: murder, rape, pedophilia, death threats, animal abuse, etc, any truly cruel and wicked shit.

On a smaller more casual scale though, anyone who makes me feel terrible about myself. I wanna be around people who I feel good around, or at least neutral. But if someone made me feel terrible, then that's basically unforgivable. I definitely have a lot of trauma and low self-esteem issues due to people who treated me terrible.

I would only forgive someone who made me feel like that if they truly made an effort to change, apologize, and make amends with me. The vast majority of people who did this probably won't, though. There's maybe a.01% chance it could happen, but I highly doubt it ever will.

But then again, some people believe almost anything can be forgiven if there's real remorse and change, while others draw firm lines. It really depends on your own limits, your experiences, and what you’re willing to carry forward.
