So many I can't count.
The summer when I was 16, I had a car and was new to surfing. Two friends and I were lying on our towels on the beach in the warm sun after having come in from surfing.
We were listening to a transistor radio. I remember the song Ride Captain Ride was playing.
In a reverie, one of my friends said "This is the best summer we will ever have." The comment surprised me. But then I thought he might be right. We were young, carefree, and the day was idyllic.
Another time, some friends and I went camping in Anza Borego Canyon. It's a really wide, sandy riverbed with some plants and cacti. On one side were vertical cliffs that were undercut all the way along the cliffs. The undercut was maybe 4' high and 4' deep. We camped on the sandy floor under the overhang.
That night, a full moon rose over the hills on the other side of the canyon. Its bright light turned the entire landscape silver. It looked magical.
Throughout the night the moon arced through the sky and set behind those hills from where it had risen.
I went to a particular Led Zeppelin concert. I had seen them before. But this time their set was particularly amazing. At the end, the house lights remained off as everyone applauded. Then the band came back for an encore.
That happened again. But after that second encore, the house lights came on and the concert was supposed to be over. But the audience didn't move. They cheered and stomped on the bleachers in unison for almost five minutes. Finally, the house lights went off and the band returned.
That happened two more times. The band had returned for three command performances after their first two planned encores.
But for the last song they performed Thank You. It's a sweet song. Robert Plant even improvised lyrics for the audience.
When the final notes faded, the audience was absolutely silent. The house lights came on and everyone filed out as if in a trance. They knew that it had been a perfect concert. Any further encore would have been anticlimactic.
It was a perfect experience.
Like I said, I've had lots of experiences that I thought were perfect and could never be duplicated. Some were in nature; some were with friends; some were with girlfriends; some have been with my wife.
Seldom do I recall amazing moments but there are a few usually with my SO at the time and not all are intimate but for me I have more sad and upsetting instances of clarity and recall these days.
It was my first kiss tehe… it was at a summer cadet camp right before 10th grade. I had a crush on this guy, and it turned out he liked me too. We were inseparable for two weeks and eventually he became my first “bf.” Kissing wasn’t allowed at camp… so we had to be sneaky and one day it was rlly rainy… under a tent shelter, we kissed. It was mutual and passionate for a first kiss, and honestly, still my best kiss. We never saw each other again after camp :/
Yes. And it's always when awed whilst outside in nature. Sometimes us humans focus so much on material things we have forgotten to take in the beauty around us and get the feeling of infinite time and space of nature. How insignificant we really are in the bigger scheme of the planet turning. Sometimes when we do get that brief moment everything feels perfect and the world stands still. An epiphany that is not forgotten. I wish I could feel it more often.

Yep. My 30th birthday. I'll never forget that night. Me and the bestie went out to see my ex in another city in my state. He showed us a good time. And later on that night I had my first real kiss with him. It felt like magic.
so at 13 my friend and i snuck into our neighbor's sun room while they were out of the town
this was over the summer. we just watched dan howell videos and fell asleep there while listening to the ambience. ALSO bc it was screened in so we didn't get chewed by mosquitoes
There have been many moments like that for me. But to name just one, it was when I was about 10 and went to camp for the first time up in the mountains. I grew up on the coast and there is a marine layer that keeps you from really seeing the stars. The first night at camp, after sunset, I looked up and saw this carpet of brilliant, twinkling stars above... so many that there was hardly any dark space in between. In that moment, I knew there is a Creator.
One of the many moments would be... When she confessed feelings while I wasn't as sure as I would have preferred to be about her feelings for me :)
Yes, as I took my first line. I felt like a goddess, while the bitter substance runt my throat down and made everything numb
The first real date I had with my wife was to see Gordon Lightfoot perform at an outdoor venue. The day was perfect and Mr. Lightfoot put on a great show. It was an amazing day
When i fell in love, i really miss being in real love...
It surely is, especially when it lasts forever 😊
When my husband walked into my life.
I can remember most meaningful encounters from around 2 on.
Yeah sailing into Venice on the front of a cruise ship with a glass of champagne in hand on our 25th Anniversary
I dont think any moment is perfect, the only things i remember forever are some moments i experienced as a teenager, i wish i could forget them
Yeah. I'll never forget it.
Yes, I guess it was the moment when I started college.
Yes. The 96, 97, and 98 NBA Finals.🤣
I don't have any of these, but hope to make them
Thanks :)
Yup.. nothing like a first divorce lol
I have not come across any moment like that.
Yes , my first meet with my beloved
To many to count over the years probably.
Falling in love.
Yes, many years ago.
Nope.
I mean, I remember all moments anyway. I have a photographic memory. But no, experiencing “heartfelt moments” is not really my personality.
