Does smoking weed make you lose weight?

just wondering ...i just know a couple of girls who smoke it and eat a lot after but they are very skinny?!

No, it makes you gain weight. Some people don't gain, and if they don't it's because they're metabolism is fast enough to burn all the extra junk they eat from getting the munchies, or they don't eat at all unless they have munchies. I know from personal experience and witnessing the excessive amount of weight my friends have gained the more they smoked.

While Cigarettes you can smoke a pack a day and feel full (my friend lost 100 lbs) from doing this. Cigarettes made him eat less.

I've always been told the opposite. Weed often makes people get the munchies and eat junk food, which can lead to weight gain.

I get the munchies & crave greasy foods like pizza & hamburgers :P So it hasn't helped me lol

It tends to cut your appetite. Probably these girls don't eat other meals. This is why some women smoke regular tobacco, snce it has the same effect

I've always thought the opposite. I don't smoke but I know girls who do and they all seemed to gain weight claiming it was from the munchies but who knows. I know that people who smoke cigs lose weight sometimes, but wouldn't it be smarter to just eat healthy and exercise?

That's like asking "Will cocaine help me lose weight?" Try not to use drugs in order to achieve your weight loss goals. Your main reason for wanting to lose weight is to either remain thin and healthy. I'd say what can help you lose weight by exercising and eating a healthy diet and like people say doing it the healthy way won't impair you, get you into trouble or kill off your brain cells.

I have a lot of friends who smoke and I can't say that I've really noticed a relationship between marijuana usage and body size. Some of them are are really large, some of them are very skinny, but most of them are more or less average sized.

No, they probably either don't smoke very often or only eat after they smoke or eat less than it seems. Also, they probably have naturallyhigh metabolism.

The more used too smoking you get, the less intense your munchies get, too.

Pot makes most people more hungry, more food = a better chance too gain fat (depends on the amount of calories).
