Todays happy question is brought to you by my random forgetfulness and the joys of winter. 🥶
See, we have a little porch attached to our house and it has a big picture window and I like to sit out there sometimes and just watch the squirrels and contemplate life, the universe and everything and all that kind of stuff but anyway, it's cold out there so I use a little electric heater.

Anyway, to make a short story longer, last night I was just out there basking in the full moon and come sleepy time I at least remembered to shut off the heater BUT, little' Mz Forgetful left her phone out there and today, guess what? It was literally friggen frozen. Like, outside it was -5 friggen' F below zero and the porch was prolly like 20 friggen degrees and my phone was like, totally friggen' frosted. I mean, literally, the screen was solid white , thick, friggen' frost I could scrape off with my fingers and make a little snowball.(Which I threw at the cat 🤣 ) Like, Frig. Is it friggen' spring yet?

So, anyways , it's charging now and it at least still turns on so, I guess it's alright and not like I use it that much anyways, but still, I know, total blonde moment. Oopsie. Add it to the ever growing list. 😳 But the happy part is, it made me wonder , What's the worst thing you've ever done to your phone?

About 15 years ago I fell asleep with my phone in my hand. I had this crazy dream where I had something in my hand and had to destroy it utterly and completely. I didn't know in my dream what was in my hand, but it had to be destroyed. In my dream I focused everything on my consciousness on crushing what was in my hand and squeezed as hard as I could. Not just with my hand, but with my mind and the force of my will. I woke up because my hand hurt and realized it was my phone. "Oh shit!" Went through my head and I stopped trying to crush my phone. I tried to turn it on, charge it, etc. Nothing would work. I didn't know if I snapped the charging port off the circuit board or something, but that was on the bottom and I was squeezing the sides. The phone looked perfectly fine, so I took it to Verizon to have them look at it and plug it into the computer. When I was there the girl behind the counter asked me what happened to the phone, so I told her. She said she didn't know how it was possible but the electronics inside and memory on the phone was completely dead and wiped out. My friend said my chi killed it hahaha

Phones and I do not get a long. I dropped my phone 25 feet in the air before it hit the ground and nothing happened to it. I've dropped it , eight inches off the ground and it cracked everything I go into settings, and I start trying to figure things out. And I get it all out of whack , and then I can't even get on apps and I used to be on I'm going to
Something right now. I can't even find the app. Wait, I take that back. I found it yesterday l o l But if I can mess up a phone somehow I do it , I don't know how 3 years ago to this day, I probably have had 6 phones, because I will put it in my back pocket, I will sit down in my car and bend it in half and break it, not even break it, but I can't get in because I did something to the past code that you use with your finger. A pattern coat, only half of it will work, so I had to get a new phone.

I don't have a phone but tab now, but I used to have a phone which my parents took away later when I was 14.

When I was 12 and I was texting and playing game in snapchat with my cousin, my phone had like 1 percent charge. It was 3 am of winter and bed was more cozy but bed had no charging plug nearby. So i got up from bed, plugged it in charger till it reached 3 percent, came to bed, played games till it reached 1 percent then charged it till it was 3 percent and repeated this till 5 am. My phone was mighty overheated.

I dropped mine & ran it over with a 22 ton loader. Believe it or not when I went back looking for it the phone still worked. We had to call it 3-4 time to locate it pushed into the mud.

When I first got a new phone, I bought a phone screen protector off Temu because it was cheaper then the retail store, and then because it wasn't a relevant brand, the cell phone guys would not put it on my phone for me, so I got a skilled friend to put the protector on my phone, and it ended up lopsided, so I tried to remove it totally and replace it with a new protector but when I tried to remove it, I broke my camera glass into pieces and now I can still take photos, but they aren't as precise as they were in the past. My cousin says he has noticed the level of clarity in my new photos has gone down and I explained to him that I damaged the glass on my cell phone.

Oh that is easy. I had it in my pocket. On a hot Australian summer day.

At that point I didn't know Samsung didn't make phones to be suitable for sweaty guys to carry in their pocket. So they refused to repair it on the grounds of phone abuse.

I threaten to expose and go to the media and eventually they agreed to repair it.

Back to your story. Did you manage to hit the cat and what reaction did the cat have to the unexpected snow ball.

My phone fell out of my pocket while I was almost 2 stories up on a ladder. It a rung on the way down and then the concrete below. Fortunately, my phone lives in a big padded case meant for rough handling, and it wasn't damaged. I'm in construction areas a lot, so I have to protect my phone. It's a pain dealing with the case sometimes, but it's the price I have to pay.

Once i came on the grandiose idea to take my phone to bathtub, I did that many times before and nothing happened. It didn't fell in water but moisture went inside. This phone started to smoke few hours after bathing and the smell lasted a while in my room. Stupidity doesn't hurt but it smelled bad in this case.

Back in the day I had a flip tone with a very durable case. Once, I left it on the roof of my car and drove away. I heard it fall and then watched it bounce all over the place after it hit the street. The case was scratched, but the phone was not damaged.

I was getting food out of the oven and had it in my breast pocket. It slid out and I fried/baked it before I could get oven mitts on and pull it out. After scooping it out, it turned out that while the screen had random scrolling on it, the phone features still worked perfectly. But, we were due for a replacement so it got traded in a month or so later. RIP.

Went fishing on one of the local surf beaches and after having a great time playing in the waves learned the hardway the pocket in my waders wasn't as waterproof as claimed. I keep my phone permanently in a waterproof case now.
