4 - 8 years to grow a chair.
What type of tree is used to grow living chairs in 4–8 years?
4 - 8 years to grow a chair.
A simple search with a search engine gives the following answer:
"Living chairs are primarily grown using trees with pliable, fast-growing branches that can be trained, grafted, and woven into shapes over 5–15 years. Common species include Willows (especially for weaving), Crepe Myrtle, Elm, Sycamore, and Ash. The technique, often called "arborsculpture," involves shaping branches around a frame and fusing them into functional, living structures".
That was an easy one and you could have avoided having to ask that question online if you would have done a simple search like I did
"What type of tree is used to grow living chairs"
Which takes your question practically word for word.
Thank you.
The ones in the video are willow trees. They rapidly take root from cuttings and can be coppice to produce a lot of easily managed flexible branches.
Ah, the good ol chair tree.. If you whip em good enough you'll get a stool in a year tops!
Yes but what kind of tree? Maybe not for me more as an art project.
What is a homie? Ok then you can search after tree furniture :-)
There seem to be a lot and not a new idea.

Why did you wrote if you don't know anything about those chairs?
