True only i dont think they are illusions they are useful tools to be able to experience everything we created. If I could explain everything at once I would get bored real quick, time is fun, hope is fun, the illusion is that this is real life when its all about game. Just like Mario 😉

A more accurate statement would be that at this moment two fundamental things in this universe, time (half of spacetime) and gravity (a fundamental force), are poorly understood by humans.

There is current work being done on a theory proposing that time has 3 dimensions like space... an X, Y, and Z vector. It may be that there are dimensions of time that humans are not capable of perceiving just like we can't detect UV or infrared radiation with our 5 senses.

So time may not be an illusion but certain elements of time may be "invisible" to us so we think of time as a single linear vector because that's all we normally experience.

It could be that space is actually an emergent property of 3 dimensional time and we should be calling it TimeSpace instead of SpaceTime.

Time is an illusion like others have said here 'cuz I don't believe it is linear. We only ever have now. And hope is an illusion in the sense that we are telling ourselves we want something we don't have when we have everything we need but we just often don't see it.

Time isn’t really an illusion, it’s more like something we experience through perspective, not something we can fully control or step outside of.

Hope might feel similar sometimes, because both only “exist” in how we perceive things but I don’t think that makes them unreal. It just makes them deeply human.
