Ok, so, like, just a Random thought I thought of randomly. I mean, April, May and June are not uncommon names for girls but how come the other months of the year aren't used for children's names? How come no one names their kid October?

It's not nobody...
Microsoft Copilot says...
The name October is relatively uncommon as a first name in the United States.
It is ranked as the 27,454th most popular given name, with an estimated population of 172 people named October.
Approximately 1,271 living Americans carry the name, and it is predominantly a female name, with 93.3% of registrations being female.
The name is also the 5,823rd most common for women and the 8,933rd overall.
In the 2020 Census, there were 986 people named October, indicating a relatively low usage.
Overall, October is a unique name, but it is not widely used among first names.
April, May and June are one- or two-syllable names. October has 3-syllables, which makes it harder to say. Plus, April, May and June are short enough where the person doesn't need a nickname. If you wanted to shorten October to a nickname, I'm not sure anyone would be happy being called Oct.
Plus, why is October (based on the Latin for 8) the 10th month? That might feel pretty weird.
From the actress October Moore to the author October Jones & from October Gray to the television personality October Gonzalez. October is ranked as the 27454th most popular given name in the United States with an estimated population of 172.
As for people named October I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them were born in September & as for people named September I would laugh if some of them were born in October. I met a few April’s over the years & I think one was born in May.
Omg, that's just way too all confusing. 😳
A little confusion is a good thing from time to time & other times not so good & as for me I’m good at confusing people because I’m confused myself. Thanks for the MHO’s.
As someone who just named my child, I'll take a whack at this. April, May, and June are all shorter month names with softer sounds. Oct is a pretty hard sound, the you have Oh, which is fine, and then you have Ber, also not soft. Also all the Ber months September, October, November, and December, are just numbers. September is the 7th month October is the 8th, November is the 9th December is the 10th. This is more obvious in Latin based languages, but Oct still means 8 and Dec: think Decade meaning 10. I've heard of some girls named August, which makes sense August was named after someone. I've heard of people named July. Never February or January, probably because no one likes those months, and those names are to long. That leaves us with March. Which ends with a Ch sound, which isn't a nice way to end a name.
January Jones
@emeraldsaphire well, zachary and sacha are kinda close
@LiamJHayden Never heard of them, but it's not a bad name
Wow. You put way much more thought into it than I did! 🤣 And congratz with your baby! 🥳
It is too many syllables and people like short names. Also October sounds too aggressive for a female name. April is an aspirated sound so it sounds melodious and song like. June is a tongue muted sound so it sounds sonorous and weakly aspirated. May is a labial sound so it sounds sonorous and vibrational. Any sound with A gives the aspirated and sonorous background that makes it seem vibrational, high energy, expressively socialized and virtuously personal.

That's a good question I have one too how come they need their kids Anonymous do you know how many Anonymous is there are in this world look how many are on here what did they run out of baby books baby name books I want to know if it's a cult or what
I can't believe we're having a baby What do you want to call it Let's call it anonymous
What happens if it's a boy anonymous and if it's a girl anonymous I just love that name and if they play in a band they can be called hip anonymous
Are you sure you don't want to go buy a baby book there's more names in there than that no the name's going to be anonymous whether they like it or not that way they don't have to be accountable for anything they can do as they please
@exitseven 🤣🤣🤣
Good question! April May June were all names before the 12 month calendar was official. You ever notice October has “Oct” which we all know means 8. Yet, how come October falls in the tenth Month but, on the other hand out 8th month is August. If you think about it makes sense to me but it may not to you. Here’s my logic. I assume people don’t want to name their kid October bc it’s sounds more like a boy name. “Octo”for short sounds cool unless “Octophobia” was a real historical problem. And kids at school will call you an Octopus which isn’t far fetched from Octopussy. You don’t want that for your kid.
In times where parents torture their children with names like Shaneequa and Da'Quaveyon, this almost sounds like a sympathetic idea.
🤣🤣🤣
What about other months like February, September, November, and December? #AllMonthsLivesMatter
Honestly though, if I had to guess, it's probably about the simplicity and sound of the name. They just sound more "name-like". And most of them have one or two syllables.
There are similar names in other languages:
Abril - month of April (can be used for guys and girls)
Julio - month of July
Augusto - month of August
Octavio - month of October (used to be the eighth month, hence Octo or Otto)
Noel/Noël - month of December
So October literally means the eighth month of the year. They ran out of names, so they just called it the eighth. Not some god, some caesar, some glorious something or other... just the eight. Are you really going to run out of names for kids in the same way? Meh... maybe when you get to eight.🤷♀️
Let's see... January is named for Janus, who I think is a Roman god. March is named for the Roman god Mars. July I think is named for Julies Caesar. August I believe is named for the Roman emperor Octavian Augustus. September, October, November, and December I'm pretty sure originally meant seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth months. That leaves February, April, May, and June, and I have no idea how those months got their names.
So in conclusion... I dunno.
I’d be so mad and side eyeing whoever named me October!
🤣🤣🤣
Because those parents who don't love their child.
Eeehhh, most of them at least. There are still a LOT of names we need to talk about...
Octavian, Augustus, Maybelline.
Those sound like the months… Maybe old timey names fit the months so, we changed to simplify our names with those short month variants.
I don't know, but ask a black woman why she was named Kaywanabanganagashakalagal etc.
some poor girl sued her mom for giving her an offensive name, and she won in court and changed her name to just "K".
No one likes any of the fall and winter months!! It's only the spring and summer months that are used as names. April, May, June, August and sometimes July (sometimes referred to as, Julie).
I'm sure there's some people in Mexico named Octubre...
guaranteed...
April May and June are all short feminine names. Though there was a female actor named January Jones.
@RandomGirl42 well, October - Halloween - day of the dead - black cats - maybe not a good thing to name your kid
April, May, and June are named after gods or goddesses. September through December are just numbers: seventh month, eighth month, etc.
Random we will make our first kid name October. Happy?
No, Sam. 🤣
Cutie pm me 😘
Because octo is a number like Sept and dec. But we do find octavia instead.
Dedicated communists who name their brood to glorify October Revolution
It is not a name that rolls of the tongue too easily.
Same reason no one names their kid asparagus. Although, Frank Zappa did name his kids Dweezil and Moon Unit, and Ahmet and Diva.
Years ago I knew a girls named August. There was also a girl who went be Decembre which is the French version of December.
Because people would call him Kid October. My friends' name is August, but we call him Auggie! You can call me anything, just not late for dinner and drinks. Thank You
Too long of a name, I guess. April, May, June are short names.
February is not too popular either. Maybe they do not rhyme with anything cool
They do. There was a Ukrainian guy on "River Monsters" named Oktober Dospenof
Funny how October is the 10th month of the year but Oct means eight , probably very confusing, but I’m sure there are plenty of people named that and all the other months , you just don’t hear it very often
Never met someone named after a month. It can't be that common.
October is kind of gender-neutral, and I think that is the reason.
Because November is better.
Octavia is probably the closest.
Octavia is a car. I'm just saying.
It used to be a popular girls name
My friends wife named her old tarantula October.
There aren't any Decembers either.
Let me get back to you with a good answer
Aren't those enough?
Pretty sure someone has.
Maybe if they had extra arms 🤔
October Moore
That's not true
