For me I think the 10 year old girl I was would be very proud of who I am today.
1 moIRONIC that you picked age 10. 10 years old was EXACTLY when the world changed drastically for me. My mother joined the Army that year and I went from living in a very dangerous ghetto as a white boy with fairly lenient relatives to moving with an uncle who was prior Marine Corps. That year was a year of a lot of rapid change, confusion and trauma.
I do think my 10-year old self would be proud of who I am today. Hell, at 10 I didn't expect to make it past 21. Where I lived was so dangerous, especially for a white male, that most people like me rarely made it to 21. I knew that even at that age. So just the fact I am alive today without tying myself to a gang would make my 10-year-old self proud of who I am today.

Every thing I used to draw in what I called a computer book (Every page is the screen advancing with a click) I made a reality at some point. I got the job he always wanted, I experienced love he could imagine but wouldn't have thought was really possible.
But its also been 9 years of a chronic health issues holding me back, and if he had known that all his efforts in school would lead up to just being chronically ill due to overworking to hard I don't think he'd have managed to complete school.

1 mowow. i had very different values, and ways of measuring. like "measure! this box should be a meter" but gave me a yard stick to check! my age ten self, would consider my life as a disaster! unless he/i could explain to him/me what went so horribly wrong!
like in that time travel movie, the kid flies the space rocket of his older self. kid asked "how did your life get so horrible? "
also i have enough information to easily convince ten year old me to make important changes to those values.

1 moOh definitely , my younger self would’ve been so proud of how I pulled myself out of some really low points, especially during the times I felt like I was drowning. My perspective on life has completely changed since I was a kid, and honestly, it’s been for the better.

1 mo10-year-old me believed I would live the life of a neurotypical, heterosexual christian girl, be married by 26, with a kid or two just like my mom, in a house I bought for myself with a dog, working as a successful artist.
She would not understand the life I’ve made for myself now.20 Reply- 1.9K opinions shared on Other topic.
u 1 moMy ten year old self had no concept of pride or even much of adulthood. I was just a happy kid, playing outside with friends and roaming through our town. Life was good.

That's how childhood should be! No worries 👍

1 mo10 year olds simply don't know enough about life to determine who or what they should be proud of. I'm far more impressed at being proud of everything I've overcome relative to who I am now. Me rating myself as grownup me. Makes a lot more sense.

1 moMostly no. I'm not a doctor like I said I would be at 10 years old. But I'm not doing anything professionally at the moment so there's nothing to really be proud of other than I have a roof over my head and manage to keep up with the bills and rent. And that's barely at the moment.
10 Reply yes. honestly she’d be surprised Im still alive. Suicidal thoughts started early, childhood was not kind to me aha

1 moThe Lord's unyielding wrath cares nothing for your pathetic self-esteem, and when the judgment falls, the very memories of youth will instantly boil into a scalding black tar within your skull. Let the vain women try to feel proud of their worldly growth when their corrupt bodies are violently ripped apart by Satan and cast into the unquenchable fire to burn for eternity.

1 moIt's about a 50/50 crap shot. He'd be thrilled to know that I have so many records, have been in a band for 25 years and even recorded a few of my own records and did voice work in a few movies, helped a few people write books, met a number of famous people and have a fiance but, I doubt he'd be at al thrilled with the way my life turned out. I'm not the least bit thrilled by it, either!!
