Ugh, I 100% hate the 2nd half of what that poster implies, that somehow women should dress modestly because men can't behave themselves. Totally excuses their bad behavior.


That being said, the question itself is a good one and my answer is yes. Unfortunately in this age of digital tracking, it's almost non existent. We should have the right to keep to ourselves and not be bothered or spied on.

Yes, I agree. The problem is that this mindset still exists in the minds of men today. I don't expect it to change in our lifetime.

Yes but it's a grey area. You've got things like data protection acts but on the other side there's nothing to stop someone filming you as you lie on a beach or follow you around with a drone. There's an over lap between invasion of privacy and harrasment that the laws slow to address

Same with dash cams on cara. That person behind you is recording your entire journey. A doorbell cam with a view that over laps your property is recording your life.

I agree. I am upset that younger people don't understand this. It's not their fault and I'm not judging. Just genuine concern and with tech already being as nosy as it is, I have no solution which frustrates me. We're not going back so buckle up... This one's going to be a doozy.

Of the three things you mentioned, philosophical and moral rights are always up for debate and completely subjective. Your personal, legal right to privacy is determined by your location and the laws of that location. I happen to agree with you and first two, which is strictly a belief based assertion. I agree that legally, it SHOULD be so everywhere, but in reality, it's not.

It's a right but it's a right that will never be given on a silver platter because others won't respect that boundary. It's up to you that has to make sure that boundary is never crossed.

Yes, privacy is a right, but not a universal right.

There are some situations where you don't have the right of privacy, in a group of people walking on a public street, for example.

I find this completely absurd; they create such things to demean women. Whether a woman wears long clothes or short clothes, she will be humiliated in any way in a bad society.
