Everyone has different reasonings. Here are some examples other than poor communication and inability to be honest:

• Self-sabotage or protecting one self from being hurt when they don’t think they’re good enough or don’t think the other person may not like them enough to settle for them
• Fear of commitment and pain
• Wanting different things or not thinking they’re fitting the ideal of another person
• No seriousness or good intentions, the attention or validation has end its course.
• Some guys can be crossing boundaries with sexual, rude, projecting their insecurities and lack of accountability with blaming, or passive aggressive comments/behaviors
• Someone may start to feel overbearing of commitment issues or responsibilities too soon
• Going through tough periods in life and unable/unwillingly to communicate it rather it’s fear of hurting someone, it’s better to let it go for now and potentially return at the right time, or just running away type shii
• When a girl already rejected him, no longer interested, or told him some things he’s doing isn’t okay and she don’t like it… but he won’t stop
• Some guys (and girls) it is just easy game of chase and thrill until they feel like they got them and bore, so they moved to the next
• It could also be accidental ghosting when someone is just too busy and forgot (I’m guilty of this many times in the past lol)

Well... I'm recovering from a cold and I'm not thinking straight. LOL... There might be a reason but often it isn't a big deal, or, it is something that doesn't have to do with the person that they are moving on from. They don't know what to say, so the action they take is to "ghost". One example was a lady who I was dating when I was 38. It was going well and in fact my best friend was telling me that he wanted to be best man in my wedding to her... LOL (Even though it hadn't gone to the point of a marriage proposal yet.) Next thing I know, I am ghosted. Turns out she reconciled with an ex and she didn't know what to say to me, so her action was to ghost me.

Many reasons. They could’ve started talking to someone else, lost interest but didn’t know how to say it, or sensed that the other person wanted something different or vice versa. Sometimes people are genuinely just busy too. I’m one of those people who forgets to message my own friends back sometimes 😂 so I don’t think ghosting always has some deep meaning behind it.
