Ladies: does a guy who likes death metal turn you off?

I really like all kinds of music, I'm a very open person...but my favorite music is Death metal...like, Hardcore Death metal. My favorite band is Cannibal Corpse. I'm not one of those guys who dresses all weird in black and spikes and sh*t however, I dress and act like any other guy, I just love death metal. I know the lyrics of some of the songs are really messed up, but I don't listen to the music for the lyrics...I just like the fast beats and guitars, I love the way it sounds! Plus it's really good for getting anger and stress out.

If you were interested in me and then found out I liked Death Metal, would that be a turn off? What would you think? Please be detailed. Thanks!

A person's taste can never be a turn off as long as it is in the same boundaries as mine. For example, I wouldn't mind a guy who listens to all you have mentioned, but I would mind if he was an atheist or believed in Satan .. I would also mind , if his lifestyle was completely dif. than mine .. I don't really understand the differences between death metal and other types of metal .. but I used to know a guy who was into these stuff .. and he used to go out every night to some weird gatherings to speak to the "devil" and really weird stuff .. yes I would leave you if you did stuff like that !

The difference between death metal and regular metal is that death metal is usually a lot heavier on the guitars and with more blast beats on the drums, plus the singer usually has a REALLY deep, growl like voice and of course all the lyrics are about death and killing.

But like I said, I don't embrace the lyrics, or do weird rituals, etc. I'm just a normal guy. =D

F*** no, when I'm talking to a guy, finding out they're into metal makes it even better! While I love metal so I can't exactly speak for all girls, someone's taste in music shouldn't affect the way you feel about someone, unless of course it's nickelback, then it's a definite no hahah.

Nope. Its the kind of music I love listening to too so if the guy I like also likes it, its just a plus. It doesn't really matter what kind of music the guy listens to because people shouldn't let that affect their feelings toward somebody. Except for country. It just annoys me...

That's what you like. Although I am not a huge fan of metal in general. Sometimes it gets to the point of almost sounding like screamo. Which I hate.

I like smooth quiet depressing or happy music. Indie, Country, Jazz, Reggae...sh*t like that.

Music preferences are not a deal breaker. I would even give your music as fair of a chance as I could offer. For a guy that I was really into I'd listen to all his favorite songs and try to see what he liked so much, because he'd probably do the same thing for me.

For me personally it doesn't matter what kind of music you like if I like you I like you for who you are inside and out and whatever it made that you like or don't like shouldn't matter regardless but that just the kind of girl I am it mite matter to some but to me not at all and by the way I like death metal too so don't change what you like just because some1 else doesn't like it just saying ...
