How to know if someone you never talked to likes you ?

Ok so there is this really cute guy from my college that I really like I know that he is single , I know his name and a few basic things and I sometimes catch him looking at me anyway I don't have the courage to talk to him first so I wanted to know what are signs that a guy that you never talked to likes you ?

There is virtually no way to tell.

Him looking at you might be a coincidence. Try smiling at him and watch is he is smiling back or just talk to him.
