long story short I have been bumping into him for past 4 years at parties and events.. he went to school with my brother he doesn't know me at all. So recently I found his number in my brothers phone and I texted him as a "prank" making up a fake name etc. I really like this guy he has a good personality as well as looks of course.. anyways so after 3 weeks of talking he really wanted to know who I was so I told him the truth he added me on Facebook and he said I was too young for him..he is 28 and I am 23..he said at my age he had many crushes too. He is giving his step exams this month so I asked him if we are done here..and to that he replied saying I am busy preparing for my exams so if I don't message you don't think I am ignoring you..i don't know what he meant by all that..first he said I am too young and when I said if we are done he said that..what do you guys think? what should I do? I haven't heard from him since then..yday I sent him a funny video all he wrote to me was "lol" and I asked him hows everything with him..he never replied back..what should I do now?

ok let him get his exams out of the way then invite him for coffee & say lets get to know each other a bit better & remember to take it easy & after all that if he still is fobbing you off just forget about him because in 10 years time he will think back & say I wonder what happened to such & such you will be the beautiful girl that got away his loss not yours ..

I don't think he's interested. It sounds like he's looking for someone closer to his own age. He might be thinking that you're both just at different places in your life. 5 years is not a big age difference at all, but some people feel different about it. Best to find another guy :)

Maybe he does think you're too young but thinks you're a good friend so he doesn't want you to think he's ignoring you, or maybe he thinks you're too young for him to date you but he still likes you... So like he would date you, but feels like friends or family would judge him so he'd rather not date you even if he does like you to an extent.
