He was magically putting in effort today, and being attentive and lingering/following me a lot and looking at me more way more noticeably. He would hand me my phone if I left it somewhere, or put it on my desk, and he lingered when I helped a customer (male, but not young), which he never does either and being more helpful? and then he asked if I was cold because he saw me wearing a fluffy sweater thing and I was like "yeah, my hands are too" (not in an implication that I want him to hold my hands) and he goes, "my hands are warm, like always" and he's like grinning and holds his hand out to me and I take it and he like, grips it and holds it for a few seconds, which he's never done either.
But then like, at the near end of my shift, he straight up bluntly tells me he's not gonna follow me on social media as if it was the most offensive idea to ever cross someone's mind? I didn't ask him at all to follow me or indicate that I wanted him to. He saw that my profile was private and I was like "yeah, my shit's private" and he goes, "Well, I'm not gonna follow you." like... I don't understand how he was so nice all day and then does that? It honestly hurt my feelings, and I just don't know what's going through his head now. Did the interaction with the employee do something? Help?
