Do straight men checkout other men?,Just like women do?

My boyfriend admitted checking out men and in his mind complementing their body or face even mentioned having "thoughts" but says he is completely straight.so, do straight men checkout other men?

We've been together 5 yrs. I asked him if he was gay 2 yrs. Ago he said NO! Why would you think that? He doesn't communicate well at all but he's an amazing sweet guy very respectful my family loves him but recently he's had anxiety attacks which have now led us to doctors & he finally admitted his brother molested him.he had to give him blow jobs but said he's never been penetrated by a man,he went through a little phase of checking men out and thinking wow he's hot & having thoughts.so what think?

I don't think men do. Studies have shown that women have a more fluid sexuality and may be mildly attracted to people who aren't their sexual orientation (though not enough to care about it), but than most men tend to be either gay or straight.

Did he bring this up himself? He could be broaching the subject of being a homosexual. Did you bring it up? It's also possible that this turns you on and you misread his intentions because it was exciting? I don't know, of course, just throwing that out there.

I think his molestation has given him anxiety over his sexual orientation, which is 100% normal and very common. Anxiety leads to "what if" type of thinking that goes astray. It's hard to separate real from anxiety-falsehoods. Be patient and kind and see how it goes with him.

Thank you so much this I great advice we have an appointment with a psychologist tomorrow.I hadn't thought about it but yes maybe this has caused confusion althought he says he is very sure of his sexuality you're right I shall be patient till we see the therapist.thank you great advice

I did he's 24 now but said that he went through a phase when ge was 20-21 having sexual thoughts with men and thinking wow he's hot he looks good I started dating him when he was 19.please read my status update.thanx

At your update: Then if he was molested, that phase will go with him throughout his life to be honest. He needs to go to therapy if he checks out other guys, secretly I do think he's turning to the other side but he's in denial or too afraid to admit it.

Not really in a competitive nature kind of way, I guess I occasionally notice if a guy has good style and I will check out what he is wearing and might decide to get myself something similar but this isn't really any different than looking at clothes in a store. Anything else is just noticed in passing

No, not at all. In my brain, men's bodies are kind of fuzzy and out of focus, and also largely transparent. I have to concentrate to notice any details about them. Women, on the other hand, are sharply in focus and I could tell you a dozen things about a woman I saw for a single second.

Depends on what you mean by check out. It isn't the same type of checking out that I do with women. I have looked at other men and thought. "Wow! I wish I had muscles like that."

thats a really terrible experience he had to go through. I never look at another guy and think he's hot, even at the gym. Funny thing is, I'm the exact opposite I'll look at a guy smaller than me and think, "this guy needs to hit the weights bad, he 's looking anorexic". But checking out other guys is not really normal for straight guys. What do you mean by "thoughts"?

I do, but I wouldn't say it's just like women do. The in my mind compliments are things like "whoa he's in shape or a good looking guy" or I'm pretty much observing how different he looks compared to me.
