Many people wonder whether long distance relationships ever work. I've never been in one but I know of people who have. Anyway, my take on this topic is that, just like it happens with any other relationship, if you truly love each other, it can work. And just like it happens with regular relationships, creativity is a very important factor that keeps relationships alive.
When you are in a regular relationship it's easier to share moments with your s.o.: when you're feeling sad, when you're horny, when you're happy, when you're stressed out. However, in LDR, sharing moments with your s.o. can be a bit more difficult... but not always!
Check out what Tyson Noël's girlfriend, Mikki Miller - a graphic designer from Minnesota -, left for him as a surprise when she visited him in Canada on New Year:
And... ta-daaaah!
... there was a briefcase full of envelopes for him to open in different situations!
This is an example of what LOVE can inspire :D
p.s. I wonder what's inside each of the envelopes lol!!
A Long Distance Relationship: An Inspiring Story For All Types Of Relationships
for a year i had a girlfriend in nyc.. and we'd take turns flying back n forth. i wasn't able to be there on her bday so i sent her all kinds of goodies. one was a little necklace inside a necklace box.. underneath interior of the box i stuffed a letter for her to open on Christmas. along w/ another pendant. (she likes surprises).
i left many for her, kept us together during the rough times.
Yeah I admit that long distance relationship require trust, faith and strong independent partner who always "be there" in whatever medium. It's hard but really exciting whenever you're waiting for your next date or opening gifts like this. it's interesting but not for everyone
Ok even I'll admit that's pretty damn adorable, I'll have to keep that in mind for something to do if I ever get in another long distance relationship.
