This only exists if you want it to. There are three options. Be friends while moving on romantically, if you can't move on then don't have then in your life, or don't move and try to weasel your way into a relationship with them.

Sometimes. Most of the time, the guy is stupid if he DOES keep trying. It is worth continued token effort, but don't get too invested or fall head over heels for someone who won't give you the time of day (yet).

It is possible to get out of the friendzone, actually. It's like Inception--not only is it something that must be her idea, but it's bloody difficult to pull off.
The Friend Zone doesn't exist.
If it did how is it that you find people marrying their best friend.
You'll often hear something like:
"Not only did I marry the love of my life but also my best friend".
"the friendzone isn't real" if it isn't real then stop taking advantage of men you don't think are attractive by stringing them along.

People have free will. Of course, they can be persuaded. There's just no guarantee of persuasion, either.
Well I would rather be friendzoned by them and still have them in my life than not have them in my life at all, but eh that's just me.
Well, actually being in friendzone refers to a state when you're emotionally attached to someone who has no romantic feelings towards you, and when you're unable to move on for one reason or another.
So how would you explain all the relationships that end up because one friend didn't give up asking the other "friend" out? Just accepting it and moving on sounds lazy and like a quitter to me.
