I know you hate to see all these people say the same stuff. But that's life. You choose to betray someone's trust at such a high level, it's going to be a VERY long time until people see you differently. That's just the way humans work. our pasts do define us.

I sound like an angry cheater trying to make an excuse. Mainly because most people reading this see the word cheater and base the entire take on that one word.
There aren't any excuses for cheating. If you were unhappy with the relationship then you should have broken up with the person, not cheat. Also, which one would you think would hurt your S. O. more?
