Recently a Take was posted discussing the many great things about tall guys. It was not taken well by the general population, some people were in favor and that took us to some very interesting debates. The comments section was not very pretty at all.



The writer was accused of being a guy with a females account or a 6' chick who will die alone. I was not the writer but to save you some guesses I am 5'10" bare footed, in my favorite heels I am 6'2", I am also in a relationship with a 6'5" male and if that does not work out maybe I will date a 5'6" guy. Who knows. Now finally let us get to the point.



What is great about a tall/short guy?

2. An opinion previously stated was Tall guys are more masculine. What do we expect masculinity to consist of? In my opinion and to the distaste of many women who "can do anything a man can," one of my greatest identifiers of masculinity is brute strength. Yes we expect our men to be stronger than us. (Muscle growth is dependent on testosterone which is found in larger quantities in men than women.) Both tall and short guys have this hormone, frequency of exercise and intensity of body building allow a man to increase his strength. Funny thing is we have shorter guys who are stronger than their taller counterparts. Therefore a man being taller does not make him more macho, the way he uses his body does.

Does he not just look like less of a man? This is an extreme case to prove a point. Guys you do not need to be hulk to be attractive.



3. Another statement was friends being jealous. Often enough the image of a cute couple is a woman tucked under a males arm. If you are a tall female it requires a tall guy to get the image. However a short or average height female can achieve this with a male of any height. Therefore this ideal image is dependent the females height and not the males.



4. Continuing along, taller guys equal safer was also stated. Guys, whether you are under 5'8" or over 6'2" if we decide to date you, defend yourself, defend us and please do not make us feel threatened by your presence. of course this opinion requires you to do it sensibly, If you fight over dumb stuff I will only feel safe when i lock you on the other side of my door and have blocked your phone number.



5. Uh Huh, taller guys have better paying jobs. "I don't want no scrub" did not specify height. Taller=Confidence= better paying jobs, Interesting. In truth IQ points do not correlate to height, therefore being a light post compared to a tea cup does not guarantee more money, what you did in school does. Brains over Brawn also works in the case of IQ over elevation.



This is not a point but just a quick conclusion. Height is dependent on additive genes, (thank your parents for what ever height you have). Therefore, your DNA is very important in how tall you become, if we class off males and females as lesser and greater based on something they do not control we have just found a new way to segregate ourselves.It is wrong to say most tall guys are gay because you are short and it is also ridiculous to call a man less masculine because he is shorter. On another note being a taller woman does not make her less feminine. People can we please move forward together, we have abolished slavery long ago and are still fighting the after effects of racism. Women are finally considered the equals of men in most places around the world. How long will we judge others based on appearance which they have no control over naturally.



My final statement ; What is great about tall guys? What is great about short guys? What is great about tall women? What is great about short women?



The fact that no matter which category you fall under you have the opportunity to choose which one you think is best for you!
