You know, I was on Russian bride sites years ago and adoption sites too. That wasn't all that long after the fall of communism in Russia. You have no idea how many people that were even into commercial things like acting and many other occupations that were trying to flee to America. That was because of the shape the country was in due to what communism had done. Communism is theft by its very definition and it only leads to a broke society eventually. That's why it didn't work there and it's not working in Venezuela either. The citizens of Venezuela are literally starving to death. That's what communism leads to every single time.
@ThisAndThat The problem is that country that is said to be communist aren't communist at all, they're just corrupt country where the political people keep all the money to themselves and give nothing to their people. This isn't communism. Communism is everyone being equal and having the exact same things.
If you look up at the definition of communism and compare it to the country the definite themselves as communist you'll see that those country have nothing in common with the definition of communism. They're just corrupt country.
Just look at North Korea who define himself as communist, they have nothing in common with communism at all. They're people who live good and then you have the one that are dying without any money, food, etc... They're like a super capitalist country with huge disparity of wealth and without the free stuff.
But what you described was the exact model of the USSR. In communism you have the very few at the very top that live wealthy rich. And then everyone below them are poor and share everything.
@ThisAndThat Yes but that aren't what communism is about. They say they're communism but if you look up at the definition of communism they're all the reverse of it. (at least the definition I learned about in school).
Even in communist countries, you have the haves and the have not's. There will always be those that live the good life, and those that live the impoverished lives while the 1% lives good, the remainder lives in hellish conditions, Venezuela is a good example of that right now.
