Hopefully you won't have to wait until you're 85 to find some happiness. You're clearly very bitter right now.

Now this is really funny. I've gone through all your responses here where you've described how to find this alleged study and you have done noting more than beat around the bush, post links that show nothing even remotely similar to what you claim, and then YOU call OTHERS stupid. Fucking hilarious!
So yeah, you are either too stupid yourself to figure out how to post a link to this "study", or you are totally full of shit. In either case it's a really bad combination with already being such an unhappy person. I genuinely feel sorry for you.
And like I said, there is nothing at all at that link that supports what you wrote in your take. Nothing. So, the question remains. Are you too stupid to actually provide a link to the alleged study, or does it not even exist and you are completely full of shit?
Which is it? If there actually is a study, post the link right here. It should litterally only take you 5 seconds. I'll stand by...
I posted the link. If you clicked it, then you already have the study. What you do is, you scroll down to the part about gender, age, and wellbeing and look at the chart. If you want numbers, you can also look at the excel file that's related and gives you the exact numbers. Learn how to read.
I can read just fine. I have more college degrees than you are likely to achieve in your entire lifetime.
Again, none of the things you keep referring to are included in the link you provided. There are no charts, no Excel files, no mention at all of what you discussed in your Take.
So, once again, are you simply too stupid to post the link, or does it not exist?
Post the link RIGHT HERE... if you are capable. It would take you seconds... unless you're an idiot, which everyone here suspects is the case.
I posted it twice. There is an array of excel sheets and pdfs. If you can't read, hun, that's your problem.
I finished my masters with 21 and made it to communications director in my firm after only 3 years. So go sit on your degrees that you obviously don't use. lol
Let me guess... you got your degree from one of those mail order "universities". That's the only thing I can think of to explain your inability to post a link, and you ignorance of the difference between a study and the garbage you posted here. Even a child would know the difference.
The truth is you're just a bitter troll with no life and nothing better to do that stir shit up on the internet.
What? Want me to tell you what Asian food carts stand in front of the Columbia gates every day? Or what the colors the floors had? About the service dog in the history building? Where the owl is hidden on campus? The name of the guy in the Lincoln Fried Chicken across from my apartment by campus?
You don't need to believe me. Doesn't make me any less successful, nor you any more capable of understanding basic info. ;)
UK you say? it was expected from them. Its not because of gender. it has been proven that women who accept the normal traditions are more happy. cause they usually have the backbone and the support from their husbands and children. The baby boomers generation is the problem, since they started to revolt against the normal tradition and wanted the women to be engaged more in the society regarding working, and building her own life bu herself ( I don't have problem with that ). the study you provided didn't mention the no of times these women got divorced and married again !!! since that generation makes the divorces very easy.
It's not. Especially women who work a job and run the household have way more work than men. Also, you got the traditional thing wrong. Yes, women are less happy now than in the past. But they were not happy in the past either. The issue is that while women advanced in the workforce, men did not take on more responsibilities in the household. Meaning that now women basically have two jobs, one of which they are not paid for. That's the explanation for the decrease in happiness, not "the olden days were better". Women got depressed all the time from the boredom and isolation at home.
There are many studies that suggests otherwise !!! women were more happy in the past than now. and if you look enough in your last comment you will see that you contradicted yourself !!! you said women are not happy now cause they have 2 jobs ( even though few of them are like that ) THANKS TO FEMINISM !!! And you already proved my point by saying women had less responsibility before. so I would say because women CHOOSE to have it both they are less happy and the truth is you can't have it both. same thing applies on men.
2 jobs being one paying jobs, and one being household management. Which was not a choice women made. I want a family, that does not mean I want to give up my career. I'm lucky to have a partner who supports me and works just as much in the household as I do. But most women don't have that. Most of my friend's husbands don't do the childrens laundry, unless they're specifically asked to do so every once in a while.
It's not a contradiction. The women's rights movement was not just about equal opportunities in the workforce. It was about equal rights. If you, as a man, aren't ready to have a family and support your working wife in a household, then you're not ready for a family. Let her move on and find someone who is.
Excuse me but HOW can you say the woman didn't choose that ! Women CHOOSE to work and have a family. personally I don't have problem with that at all !
But you can't suggest that a man is doing a little work comparing to women because he can't help her in the household !!! A woman wanted the right to work and they GOT IT !!! It is illogical from you and the modern feminists to also dictate that a man have to help her in household since she realized, she can't have it all !!! A traditional man already is doing enough to support his family. He is working his ass off in a loaded job to provide for her and children. he is also helping her raising their children. He will do whatever it takes to make sure his wife and the kids are fully relieved financially.
Maybe you should think about the new generation of women feels some sense of entitlements to keep pushing the man to do better... even tho HE IS doing the best he can. a lot of women don't know how to cook or do ordinary household jobs.
The UGLY TRUTH is that most women who work hard and wants to have a family, they will find it very hard to have a husband ! or lets say they will not be happy in the marriage eventually.
On this website, they will have. In reality, fortunately, times are changing, and men take on more responsibility. My partner takes on equal chores in the household, he excels at his job, and he got a book deal recently on the side. It is absolutely possible for two partners to have great jobs and a great family life, as long as both people are willing to participate. And there are so many great men like him out there.
Yes, women wanted to work. But you're the one who's entitled if you think that it was only women's work to deal with the household. Do you eat there? Did you make the fucking children? Did you shart in you fucking underwear? Then why would a grown-ass woman with a job on her own have to clean up after you? Times have changed. If you're not ready for that, you're not ready for marriage.
Oh Im ready for marriage and my woman knows exactly how act like a REAL ONE !!! and please don't tell me about you making a baby !!! its normal woman thing not a big accomplishment that you can include with your self absorbed mentality !!!
And maybe you work it out... but in general it will never work in the long run... its human nature and you can't do anything about it!!!
Nope, it's my husband's understanding that he has no right to be entitled that leads us both to have good job, financial security, we are both there for our children, we both know how to run the household, and we will never have to worry about getting depressed because of something so trivial, and he won't have to worry about me dying first or leaving him and not even knowing how to wash his undies either. We're partners and he's confident enough to handle that.
I don't need to beat him, nor would I ever do that. I didn't teach him to be any specific way either. He had read feminist literature and had a lot of female friends and a significantly older sister, who experienced these issues first hand. And he decided to be better. That was him already when I met him. And I feel blessed every day that he's in my life.
Most people? I'm from Bangladesh, trust me, most women around the world see it as very necessary. Hate to break it to you, but feminism is still important, since there are countries with female genital mutilation, huge gendered pay gaps, no access to birth control, etc, etc. You can live in you little right wing bubble on the internet, where all you care about is other men who feel just like you, but most of the world isn't like that. And I'll do feminist work to ensure women in my home country working in the textile industry get paid a living wage every day. And I'll be openminded to problems that the elderly, like my grandma and her friends face. Know what's also interesting about the survey? Men over 85 have a comparative decrease in wellbeing. Guess why.
Yes. My family is from Bangladesh, where I grew up most of my life. I personally know women who work in the textile industry for practically no money, women who were raped and never got justice, who don't have the same access to food and health care as men, etc. So, though the UK is better, there still are issues and I'll be a feminist until all women around the world, not matter their religion and ethnicity, have enough financial means to control their own lives. (And poverty is reduced enough so men have good lives too, but obviously, in most countries women have the shorter stick)

"finished my masters with 21"? Twenty-one what?

I went to an Ivy league on scholarship.
Obviously you didn't, or you'd know that the National Health Service is a reputable source. You'd also know how to read.
LOL... riiiiiiiiiiiight. :)

I'm sure they are happier. Not just '85' but '45 and up' as well. Shit, they get the life insurance and reap the glory.
Multiple other studies say otherwise. The NHS is full of shit anyway. I couldn't give a shit what they say.
Everybody knows bitches ain't loyal.
Holy shit you're a fucked up person.
yes, time for another one of these studies that make the world black and white/no in between and define the whole world as such
Maybe people should just stop getting married.
Nope !!!
Go to kitchen woman.
Let me guess? A modern feminist sources !
No, I wrote it in the first line, it's by the NHS, which is the National Health Service of the UK. It's the publicly funded healthcare system.
UK you say? it was expected from them.

It isn't human nature, it's laziness
and your guess is a hundred percent accurate.
Keep convincing yourself that ma'am !
its your entitlement that wants more and more instead of accepting your responsibility as a wife
Maybe you are NOT ready for marriage after all !
Yes keep beating your husband about his "imaginary entitlement " !!!
While in return... you are the angel one without any flaws !!!
Women these days are self absorbed one and I don't blame men who keep mocking feminism for making you like that !!!
I don't need to beat him, nor would I ever do that. I didn't teach him to be any specific way either. HAIL MARRY !!! the feminist teachings are the best !
Hate to break it down to you... most people ( men and women ) despise feminism so enjoy it !!!
Even tho... You want to teach us all !

Sounds like feminazi shit to me
They are the ones with bad marriage.
Don't get married...
Plain and simple!
good for women over 85
That's depressing.
Good news, its not true! No such study. This is why you always ask for the links to studies, too many trolls.
@genuinlysensitive I didn't think it would be true lol, just depressing. If I read something I research it, don't worry
Are you a feminist?
yep, pretty much, topic closed, move on.
