I hear a lot about how men are bad cus they "cheat" on women all the time.

Except here's the deal. Cheating implies he broke a contract.

Since marriages (and relationships like it) are initiated by men, men give the woman a place to live, a diamond ring, food, clothes, etc.

It's impossible for a man to "cheat" sexually. The only way a man can cheat is by withholding food, housing, money, and support.

Men initiate marriages/relationships like it to retire women from prostitution. Women accept marriage because it gives them a place to live.

As soon as women start buying diamond rings, houses, cars etc with their "strong and independent" cash from their careers, I dont wany to hear shit about "cheating" anymore.

Do you even know what a contract is? It's a legally-binding agreement between two parties whereby they both agree to a set of terms that are acceptable to both. If EITHER of them break the contract, the other can sue.

The only case where "the contract isn't broken" is when you make it clear from the beginning you will continue to be with other women, and she can't have other men, amd she accepts. Otherwise, there is implied monogamy in most of modern society.

Even in past time when women weren't able to provide for themselves, the compromises on both sides go well beyond a business transaction. Men provided AND CARED FOR their families, in exchange for passing on their genes and gaining stability, a "home base" where to come back to after spending yourself on the fields/warzone/service. A larger goal that would outlast them. And monogamy proved to be the most reliable way to ensure this.

Man or woman if you cheat you are a selfish piece of shit. But I see some differences on how genders react to their guilt. If a man gets caught cheating he will never have an excuse (unless she’s cheating too). He will rightfully incur all the wrath from his actions and will have to lay in the bed he made. He will never get away with trying to justify it. He might be an asshole about it or have a “who cares” attitude but he can’t (nor shouldn’t) say that is was an “accident” or his emotions made him get carried away. The best he can do is own up to his mistake and pray she will forgive him.

However some women (not all) do some real mental gymnastics with this crap. They say it was “an accident” or the other guy made them feel special. In the worst cases they will try to gaslight the guy and fixate on all his flaws to self justify their bullshit. Women are also better at covering this up then men.

This is not to say some women do own up to their crap but from my observations they have a harder time doing it. I can remember the one and only time I cheated in my life and it was at 16 with my first girlfriend. I didn’t try to blame her for anything and accepted the consequences (she broke up with me)

But really how often do you see women 1) first admitting this 2) owning up to being 100% at fault and 3) accepting the consequences. They may act remorseful so the guy doesn’t leave them. But do they really own up to it out of principle? Some do but from observations most don’t.

Well what told one of my boyfriends who implied that he may just decide to have sex with other women and not tell me and possibly not always with condom was that he could expect that we’d be keeping the condom on indefinitely and also no oral either. I told him I wasn’t willing to risk getting an STD from him if he was going to have safe sex. In my opinion if people wanna have sex with someone outside of their monogamous relationship they should at least be honest about it from the beginning and if they have any respect for their current partner they should at least be safe about it with condoms or testing. The value of faithfulness is determined by each partner… I find cheaters to be deserving of prison time but when a woman cheats… yeah I think it’s much worse.

You are the second guy on this GAG that I know of that said, "Men cannot cheat." He was viewing it through a different lens but from certain angles both you and the other guy can be correct.

He position was, men can have sex but they can't cheat because no man ever convinced his wife, mate, or whatever word he used, a baby he sired with another woman was her baby but that is what women do to men. I don't recall his exact words but basically he said, the difference in 15 of sex vs. a lifetime of supporting and raising another man's child as his own child, is so extreme that the first is insignificant compared to the second.
