I find that my school life as a child was funny and a little crazy but great.

I remember writing love letters at the age of like 5 or 6 to a little Muslim boy with a bowl hair cut "I like you" 😂 I would let my henchmen/messengers carry the messages to him.

Understandably this child never shared his faith during our time at school at the time but in my country many people celebrate or acknowledge all religious festivals together. The country holds various religious holidays . I remember lighting diyas 🪔 🪔 for Diwali. Getting my henna done. Dressing up I different cultural wear in school.
An experience I cherish. Though now I don't partake in the various religious events.

I was not a Muslim, but In the future I really only dated Muslims (or those from that background)
sometimes by chance/coincidence, sometimes by choice. It has since changed.

A question on Gag was recently asked about our first kiss. I remember fondly. It was a day the class went on a field trip. I loved field trips 🥺 but I couldn't go 😢 😭 because maybe i forgot for my parents or guardians to sign my consent form or something ... the pain...

I looked and saw my friend, a Hindu boy, was in school so I didn't feel so lonley anymore.

There weren't even teachers in our main class. Yay freedom. We were hiding under the desk, and he was sharing something like cheerios with me. I don't know how we, most likely he, came up with the idea for us to bite into the cheerios at the same time.

I think I didn't know how to feel when we swapped spit. Lol.

But we were always close in our childhood. Him playing with my tiny hair or my arms 😂 (it's not hairy) , arm up my shirt sleeve. I remember being afraid to get in trouble 😱.

And it wasn't romantic. Just comforting. I also liked playing in his hair.

Yes despite my first kiss at like age 7 with a Hindu, I still went on being drawn to Muslims, one of who were my first crushes at age 5 or so and to whom I wrote love letters.

First crush seems to be very influential...

Nevertheless, I'd like to add that and I am grateful for my culture for growing me up with love for various cultures and common sense.
