Internet dating is just a lie you're living. 90% of the people find it so easy to lie over the internet.

Believe it or not, even if they're honest still their true character doesn't show! You can never tell what someone really is until you see them acting infront of you.

So many people are being catfished by ignorant people. What if that person really loved you, just what if.

People don't know how serious these stuff are. I didn't know how serious these stuff are until recently.

2 months of talking non stop, he confessed that he loved me, he hinted about marrying me then joked about it because i freaked out

That day i realized how stupid and bitchy i was. I told him everything, his grades dropped, he became distant from everyone and hated me so much. Later on, he forgave me and we are really good friends but just friends and i dont get any saying in this because i ready hurt him enough.

We live in a world where you have to play games to get the girl/guy and if you speak from your heart you lose them forever, no ones ever sincere. So faking perfection and caring won't get you anywhere.

I agree. There are many hoops to be jumped through and faked visages, faked likes and dislikes, faked countenances, then just straight up lies in the dating world: online or offline. That's why I no longer give any fucks.

That's why when you date on the internet you always video chat them if you become serious about them, if they refuse to then they're probably fake and you verify what they tell you by doing research on them. A person who knows what they're doing will never be cat-fished, you can find real love online, you just have to be smart about it, like dating in person. And where did you find these ridiculous numbers? 90% and 10% what research suggests such a thing?

Also you are completely forgetting that people lie face to face. Yes people lie online, but they also lie face to face.

I got catfished in high school, I found out who it was and have never forgiven her, nor will I ever speak to her again in my life; such a low life is not deserving of my time.

I didn't read it, just the title. Both of my siblings, (which are older than I am) married someone they dated online. My sister married a Japanese man living in Japan, and my brother married a Canadian woman. They have both been married for years. Maybe sometimes people fake it, but if they are truly serious about finding someone they want to marry, I think it's possible. Plus I know a few other people that found someone online, and have been married for years.

Don´t generalize. Internet dating is not for everyone. In most cases it fails but there are always exceptions.
