Either person can make the first move. It could be as simple as brushing up against the person often and then taking their hand one time. Then just keep working towards more 'moves'

Who cares? I think it's totally fine for a girl to make the first move. Totally fine for the guy to make the first move!

i loved it ! It's well written and has a lot of meanings... and guess what? Even In ancient times some women actually made the first move and even proposed to men.

Don't feel it should matter who does it, although for over a year now I'm slowly changing my mindset about this

For a while I felt it was unfair and I got bitter, angry, and resentful about gender roles, but now I regret ever feeling that way because that only just wasted time, should have been drilled into my brain, mindset that life is not fair, dating included

Nothing is fair. True. But I guess instead of worrying about gender roles, we should focus on conveying our love towards loved ones. For as long as love is priority for both guys and girls, things would run smoothly.

It should be at the right moment. There's no "guys should make the first move" thing. All I'm saying is the bravest should usually be the one to make the first move and if that's you, then do it.

I am a girl in a leading liberal high school. I made the first move and said I liked him. He started running with his tail in between his legs and ears down.
    Oh well.

Is that really the kind of guy you want anyways?

I mean in a parallel universe, if that same guy asked you out -even though he ran away Bc you asked him out- would you want him?

Well, yes, I would want him. He's a nice guy, smart, and is kind and humble. If he liked me, that'd be even better. In fact, I liked him because I though he liked me. (I was wrong, surprisingly) by the way he's super nerdy and a total 'nice guy' but genuinely. Nerdy body, advanced math class, the full package.

If I really liked a woman, I mean, really liked her and I never made a move and she died the next day, ... I'd quickly conclude, it was obviously poor timing. 😂😂

A girl that approaches me first wins the prize and has my utmost respect, it tells me that she's not a scared little lamb and can get what she wants.

Hehe girls who don't approach might not be scared little lamb but it's mostly due to gender stereotypes and stupid dating sites that states: GIRLS NEVER MAKE THE FIRST MOVE. GIVE HINTS, BUT DON'T YA DARE TO MAKE FIRST MOVE

Don't make girls do something they're not comfortable doing, men shouldn't either. That's my opinion at least.

Of course. That's what I wrote at the end. Do things that make you happy. If you wanna make the first move, go for it! If you don't want to, then don't. But this MyTake is against the stupid notion that states that ONLY GUYS should make the first move. If a girl makes the first move then all hell breaks loose.

Of course, they should not. It's all about doing what you wanna do. If you are holding yourself back just because of some stereotypes or due to what some dating sites states, then that's a problem.

It's about following your heart. If you can't make the first move, don't do it! But at least, don't discourage those people who appreciate a girl making the first move. If a girl wants to ask a guy's number, she can! If a girl wants to ask a guy out, she can!

How does it make a girl a slut?

What does asking someone out have to do with promiscuity. Not that I find the use of the word slut to be in any way appropriate. I mean I guess once you believe women should be shamed for their bodies I guess snything irrationsl can sound logical. So why not say eomdn shouldn't ask guys out. Makes as mich sense as calling eomdn sluts.

I'm curious to hear how you put the two together but im also seeing it's going to be hard to stomach.

You're 26.. How old do you have to be before you decide you have the right to be a human being?
