Awkward silence during phone calls with bf?

M bf and i talk to each other everyday. We text and call each other a lot. Then until recently, i discover that i don't really know what to say to him. Sometimes it's kinda awkward so i ended up just saying good night to him and hung up the phone.

Maybe it's because i feel like don't want to bother him too much especially when he mentioned he's with his friends. And i felt like if i talk to him for too long he'll get bored.

What should i say to him? I hate to run into an awkward situation when i have no idea what to say on the phone..

Sometimes we talk endlessly and sometimes i can hear his tone's been little exhausted. Which will make me more nervous. Should i continue the conversation? or should i just stop. I like to know as a guy what would u guys like to hear from ur girl.

If he's with friends, then I can understand why you wouldn't want to bother him. But in that situation you can always say "I"ll let you go, if you want to call me later when your friends leave feel free, otherwise I'll talk to you another time" so that way there's no pressure.

And if you're texting all the time, then of course it will be hard to find things to say on the phone! You already said it over text! So maybe say the little things over text and save the longer stories for the phone calls.

i'll take a wild stab... may be nothing. but are you on or about the end of the 3rd month in your relationship?

i say this because it is at that point when you might have absorbed a lot of the get-to-know-you and aren't sure if or how to proceed.

Just talk about your day, ask him how was his. Maybe something different happened that day and you feel like mention it.
Sometimes there are just nothing else to talk about, even more when you say you text each other frequently.

This happened to me when I was in a relationship lol. I just asked her what she was doing or what she's thinking about or something.
