My boyfriend lied to me about seeing his female friend?

My boyfriend has a female friend who he never cares to invite to our holiday parties or anything and yet decides to go out with her when I'm out of town. He doesn't see a problem with this. Today he lied about seeing her. I was using his phone to send myself a picture he took (with his permission) and saw that she had sent him a message about going to an event today. He hadn't read the message. I didn't tell him I saw it though and he didn't tell me anything about it.
I have her on Facebook saw that she was tagged in a photo in this certain area for this event. So my boyfriend tells me he randomly has decided to go check out a store which happens to be in that area. I don't tell him anything.
So, he sends me a message that he just happened to bump into his friend while he was down there so he hung out with her for awhile to be nice. I know this wasn't a happenstance meeting and that he actually lied to me.
What would you do?

In having you in his life and this sweet tart on the side, even if it is a 'happenstance' no romance so he says, is telling Me----He wants his cake and eat it too. And it's not fair to you, a slap in the face. If you stand for this, you will always have to stoop for whatever poop he 'Happens' to throw your way in the future.
You're right, it was just not a coincidence that they had this motive for opportunity meeting of the minds. He is keeping her on the sidelines, even lies to your face about her 'Today' and just so 'Happens' to see her when the cat's away.
Don't trust the situation. I smell trouble in Denmark, sweetie. It's time to stand up as Straw boss and tell him that this little pussy needs to Go Or give him his walking papers and boot his butt out the door to join her in the Wide open Wilderness for the world to see now.

I would definitely confront him about, if he wasn't up to no good then why would he lie about it. People lie when they are trying to hide something

It appears that he isn't being faithful to you.
Depending on how important he is to you, you can forgive, or forget him
