My boyfriend lied about meeting up with a girl he was romantically talking to a day after me and him first started dating?

Me and my boyfriend have been on and off for 3 years now. However, we got back together almost a month ago. He told me that he was speaking to another girl a while before we started dating again which didn’t annoy or concern me. However, last night my boyfriend told me that after blocking the girl ages ago, she called him yesterday with her friends phone and spoke to him. He told me that he told her he blocked her because he had a girlfriend who was me. Apparently, her response to that was that I don’t treat him well and other rude responses. I don’t take shit talking about me kindly, so I searched for her social media and eventually found it. I had let my boyfriend know that I had her social media and he instantly got defensive and told me to unadd her because ‘it might be the wrong person’ even though this was on snapchat and he had sent me a screenshot of her bitmoji a couple of months ago which looked exactly like the one I added. His defensiveness made me suspicious so I texted her and asked her about him. She told me that she was the one and there was never a call. Obviously, I did not believe her because of lack of proof. However she then sent me screenshots of chats with him. One of the screenshots were a day after we started dating and spoke about them leaving the house to meet up. I also found out that me and my boyfriends mutual bestfriend lied about it to me too. Another screenshot was about 4 or 5 hours before we started dating and it was loveydovey chats about them missing eachother. When I confronted him, he broke down crying and told me he met up with her because he wanted the best for us? And he started speaking of suicide which instantly concerned me. I love this man but I cannot move past this easy. Opinions?
