So my ex boyfriend and I broke up half a year ago. It seems that either he was cheating on me towards the end of our relationship, or he moved on straight after, because immediately after he started dating someone new. I ONLY just found that out though, he neglected to tell me this whole time. The girl he's dating now is a really nice/sweet girl that I know.
The problem is, in the months after our relationship ended, my ex and I would still text each other in the middle of the night. I think we were both having withdrawal symptoms from talking every day.
But now, his new girlfriend has found out that he and I were texting (obviously while he was still dating her), and my ex has put all the blame on me saying I'm obsessed with him and interfering in his relationship. And that I reached out first.
That's not the truth. He was texting me in the middle of the night, and I replied to him. He even asked to call me.
But everyone (including his girlfriend), now thinks I'm a homewrecker and that I'm trying to break them up. I didn't even know he was dating anyone when I would text him back? But my name is being dragged through the mud and my ex is being painted as a victim.
What should I do?
