my ex put me in the friendzone.. i'm still inlove with him & he knows it and we still want to be in each others life. but he says with out a doubt & set in stone we will never get back together. he loves me and cares for me and is still very attracted to me but he feels like i didn't appreciate him when we were together and that the relationship was bad so he will never try again. he has maintained that stance since we broke up two weeks ago.

guys & gals... i just want any advice on this... i have accepted defeat and plan to be a platonic friend to him as we are very close... but deep down i will always love him & he knows this. has anyone ever been this guy or been me in this situation? is it possible he could change his mind.. or are these things usually permanent? we still talk on the phone and plan to hang out and stuff but he probably won't ever fall for me again right?

If a guy says he doesn't want to ever have a relationship with you, nothing will change that.

An ex can never friendzone you. If you think about the guys you've friendzoned it could be for many resons, your not attracted to them, your personalities didn't click, there was no connection. Many things but with an ex at one point you did have that, and things like that don't just fade away. So no he's not friendzoning you, he's just making it clear that he's feeling neglected and that he can't go through it all again, that he doesn't feel it's worth giving it another try.

Will he come back who knows, but in the meantime block him out, get on with your life, focus on your career or hobby, meet new people and enjoy life with out him. It'll be hard at first but it'll get better. Don't text him, and if he texts don't feel as you would have to reply, go about your life and try and exclude him as much as possible. There's no problem with being nice but don't make him the centre of your life anymore. Good luck

He broke up with you for a reason. If he still cares about and wants to be in your life, he'll be there without you putting out. You need to stop that. Go have some fun with other people and enjoy yourself, if a time does come up when he wants to talk about what happened, and it probably will, then talk at that moment. Don't worry about anything that guy is doing, because it will just confuse the hell out of you. Just trust me on this lol I went through the same thing and my ex flat out admitted he loved me, the problem was him and he regretted breaking up with me. Sex just makes those things complicated.

Don't press it and try to be nice and accept the situation. He's not doing it to hurt you, he's doing it because you hurt him, and you won't increase your chances by asking again and again.. But I think it's good if you can try to be friends and stay touch! For both of you!

It's possible that he could change his mind but it's a wishful thinking... if I were you I would end my friendship with him or hang out with other friends because it would hurt so much to see him everyday.

If you believe that you'll love him forever, then you need to cut him off and end all contact with him until you feel differently.

Your relationship is over, you need time to heal and move on, and if that means you need to treat him like he's dead, then that's what you have to do.

Sometimes you need to cut off a diseased limb in order to save the body as a whole.

i didn't vote, if the guy still loves you and wants to be with you, this is the best way to do it because apparentley being in a relationship didn't work out. so just be happy you are friends
