Was I friend zoned?

This guy and I have been texting back and forth for a while, having fun genuine conversations, sending each other playlists (a lot were love songs) and goofy videos. He told me recently that it’s hard for him to get out because he totaled his car. I really enjoy his company and wanted to take him to the movies with me, he genuinely seemed interested and offered to pay if I pick him up (which I told him he didn’t have too.) However he kinda left me hanging when I asked when he was available.. It’s a bit unfortunate but it’s understandable, he’s struggling a bit financially and he has to work a lot. Was I pushing it on him? Or maybe he just friend zoned me? I don't know.. he still actively texts me and talks to me a lot when I see him at work.

I would not say he freindzoned you, but obviously there are some red flags.

Maybe he is uncomfortable with his situation, and just wants someone to talk to. But one would think any real man would of jumped on that opportunity. I get these women that want to tale to me all the time on line, when there is like no chance that she would ever offer to come see me or take me to a movie.

If one did, I would think that so sexy.

Absolutely not, taking anything in dating personal is huge mistake. There is no explaining why people do what they do, but you start taking it personal then it will completely ruin your mind set. Never assume you did everything right, and never assume it has nothing to do with them. Just wasn't a match that was meant to be... it just didn't work for whatever reason.

It's important to learn what you needs to be learned, so every experience is just an opportunity to improve upon yourself. But you start taking it personal, then you might not be learning the right lessons. This why there are so many bitter and self-conscience people in the dating world.

I agree with the fact that he doesn't know what he wants. he might be inexperienced and confused or he might be playing with you, who knows? be direct with him, can't go wrong.
