Boyfriend got caught in a lie and now is ignoring me?

OK my boyfriend and are a very close we've been best friends for 10years, and have been dating now for 4 years. We have talked about getting married after college, and we are very serious. We've been in a long distance relationship for almost a year now. This spring break he told me he didn't have service and was busy. I haven't seen him in 4 weeks so not hearing from in a week was really hard. Then I see him at the mall in town and he just froze he looked sad. I was so upset I ran off crying, he later sent me a msg saying he was sorry but is ignoring me now. I have a hard time believing it's over so why is he ignoring me. I feel like it's because he feels bad and can't hear how much he's hurt me. What should I do should I just wait for him to talk to me, or should we break up? I just can't imagine that he doesn't want to be together when a week before he was talking about proposing.

Ok well tomorrow will be a weeks since this happened and as of now he has made no effort to contact me. I've stopped almost all communication I send him a text or two at night telling him I miss and love him and to please talk.

It's been 2 weeks since he's talked to me, I've stopped calling and texting. I told him if he still loves me then to tell me that I'll be waiting for him. That's all I can do I feel like I lost the love of my life.

He left me :'( I never once thought we would ever break up, he hasn't given me a reason yet I think he knows if he sees me it won't be for long.

Breaking up isn't needed. People take time to come around, and if you two have been this close for this long, then you obviously mean something to one another.

Relationships aren't perfect. Your partner may lie once in awhile. Everyone does it. It doesn't mean you should end your relationship over one little white lie.

I say just wait for him to talk to you. Possibly give him one last call, or send him a long text asking about what's going on.

He'll eventually answer.

Thank you for being nice, I've had a few people say I drove him to lie to me. They say I'm klingy I haven't seen him in 4 weeks and haven't talked to him in 1 week so I'm really upset by this point. I really don't want to break up I'm still waiting for him to talk I'm just probubly over worrying that he never will talk to me about this. We are very close I love him more than anything he really isn't the kind of guy to do this, so I'm hoping he just can't face me right now after hurting me.

Guys stop talking to girls all the time. We're just imperfect in that aspect. He probably feels as if you're angry with him, so as I said before, call him..

If he doesn't answer, leave him a message. He'll listen or read it, and he'll feel like he did before, happy and in love.

Thats the thing I have left texts and called and he won't answer them. He said he can't talk because he'll just cry no matter what I know I'm going to have to wait for him to be ready. I just can't believe it's almost been a week since this happened and he still won't return my texts or calls.

Don't continually try and contact him, because you might seem like a nuisance.

Possibly just leave it alone for now. If another week passes by and he doesn't call you, contact him and hopefully he'll respond. As for now, that's all I can give you...
