Should I give my relationship one last shot or should I move on?

My relationship with my "boyfriend" has been complicated. He ghosted me in March of last year but then texted me two months later apologizing saying I deserved better. Aside from the fact that our relationship became long distance (him in Florida and me in Texas) things between us were good. My issue with him though is that he is the definition of a workaholic. He just started a new company literally from the ground up and because he's working 24/7 trying to hire people, he barely texts me anymore. On top of all that, he recently went to Ireland for three weeks to visit his family and I didn't hear from him that entire time. And, of course, when he got back he threw himself into his work again by going to a convention in Atlanta. I felt like I hit my breaking point when he said he would call me Friday so we could finally talk but forgot. It's now Sunday and I still haven't heard from him.

I just feel neglected. Why would he rekindle our relationship if he wasn't even going to talk to me? The times we have talked, he's told me that he thinks about me all the time- which is a total mindfuck for me because how would I know that? I've talked about our relationship to my bestfriend and she said I should move on but I just want a second opinion.
