Why I am husband material, but never boyfriend material?

Honestly I am a stable guy, my idea of fun is going out kayaking, playing football or other sports. Just being out side and doing stuff like that. I like clubbing every now and again, but only if I have a girlfriend. I generally do what is asked, unless it interferes with something I have planned, unless its a family emergency. My ex's have always said just as they left me, I am the type of guy they would like to settle down with. These girls knew never to lie to me, since I will take there word seriously and that if they lied that they would never hear from me again. Ugh ... why I am always husband material but never boy friend material? Why do these girl say that and just don't want to be with me? I am a 22 year old and well I don't think I am that predictable, I am unpredictable sometimes but not always.

Please some in site would be nice, what these girls were thinking, and like what's wrong with me that no girl around my age wants to be with me.

your problem is that you have been dating the kind of girls that want more excitement while they are still young. these kind usually want to party or expieriance everything there is in life, before they settle don with a stable guy when they are older. you can either learn to date in a way that is more carefree or look for a girl who is looking for a more serious relationship right now. I had the same problem once, I fell in love with a girl who didn't want to be tied down so young. she seemed to love me, and couldn't let go so easy, but that only made it end badly, because she tried to keep me close, but not to close. it messed with my emotions to the point where I had to start telling her I couldn't talk to her without being with her. it took along time to get over her, but in the end, I see that we had two very different views of life, and sets of goals, and we would never have lasted as a couple. so I suggest you really think about what you want, what matters to you, what doesnt, and find a girl who fits into that before you get to attached

There was this one girl that I dated, she was totally into settling down at first, then realized we were a bit to young and that she started going clubbing and partying. I was fine with that at first. I just was not as much fun as I once was with her. It was not her I just realized that I need to remain focused on school. If I tickled her a bit more or something like that. I regret messing up, she looked me in the eye's and said you are the type of guy I would like to settle down with.

Thats why I said figure out what you want for yourself, or if you are going to be in a relationship where you have time to figure it out, because you can't expect to find someone to be on the same page, if you don't even know what page your on.

Man, my guess is that you're just a little TOO stable for 22 year old girls. I'm 34 and you've got your shit together better than I do by the sounds of it. You do sound like husband material.

I have two suggestions. The first is since your husband material, how do you feel about women in say, their late 20's early 30's who are looking for "husband material" in any boyfriend theyre looking for.

The second it... time passes faster the older you get. It really won't be long until EVEYONE is looking for "husband material" (trust me)... and that my friend... that's where you shine. Hang in there :)

Your preaching to the choir my man. My relationship ended last night, and she told me how perfect I was, and how later on she would regret it. The problem is, she doesn't even like to party that much, so it was quite odd. Either way though, don't think your the only person that feels this way, I am just like you, almost word for word and have had the exact same thing happen over and over. Think back to your first gf, did you ever think you'd find anybody better? but then the 2nd one came along, and the 3rd, and the 4th... It seems tough, but it'll work out sooner or later. Is it sad that I'm telling you all this, while I myself don't believe it'll happen for me? :P

Only attracting women who have partied and slept around and now wants to settle down.
