Thoughts on female led relationships?

It should be equal. But women need to make it clear from the beginning that they will not tolerate disrespect. They expect to be treated well. She will not be trampled over. At first, guys think they have more power over a potential partner because that is the way the world works. Unfortunately, sexism is a real problem and men have more power in society than women.

That's not the way it should be in a relationship. Ever. Not even if the guy is more attractive the woman--especially not if that's the case. This is not an issue of abuse. It's a matter of respect.

Men have more power in society? I don't know where you're from, but here in the states it's equal, in fact women can usually be more publicly sexist than men.

I do expect her to respect me, but I'd rather let her have final say in everything also.

It's true that women are "allowed" to be more publicly sexist (unfortunately) but men do still hold more power in some subtle ways. When it comes to the workplace and politics, men are often automatically given more respect due to their gender.

@samhradh_leannan lol since when? Women hold 51% of the vote and they usually choose to only vote for other women. Tv shows and talk show hosts are often sexist against men and noone calls them out on it.

If anything women have more power in society, but yes it is a two way street, in some areas men do have advantages too

I wouldn't be in one; I don't believe in one person leading a relationship strictly. I tend to lead more in certain areas and my guy in another - balance man.

I think that both partners should make their priority to improve their lover's life. If everything is one sided, ill feelings are bound to harvest.

Relationships should be equal and mutual. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "female led" but I don't think I'd want a female led OR male led relationship

Eh, I know I'm irrational at times, I make bad decisions. Only time I'm comfortable is when someone's telling me what to do.

Wanting guidance and support is only natural. Going to your SO for advice and help is healthy and perfectly fine; you SHOULD feel comfortable doing so. But nobody wants to feel like they have to be in charge of everything all the time in their relationship. Your SO is not your parent. Balance is key.

You're in for a world of hurt, buddy. The vast majority of women aren't good leaders. In fact, if you're not willing to take the lead as a man, it's going to cause friction and she might not even be able to articulate why.

Disaster! And i find that a lot of cowardly guys or men who lacks confidence wants to be dominated by a woman who doesn't act like one. It will turn abusive if things doesn't go her way. a woman can give input but not to lead a relationship. Men are the head, not the woman unless she has no man to lead her.

Men are called to lead. Not women in relationships as I just said. Why would a man have a woman lead the relationship? Unless he doesn't know what she needs in a man to lead her, 9/10x it's for to be in control. It will not end well. I've seen this before a few times and I know. Again, men have to lead. Not the other way around. Men have to step up and women has to know when to step down. Especially when it doesn't call for her to take that step for the time being.
