What is your opinion on a female led relationship?

Question

I lived for 20 years in a female led relationship, it was the happiest time of my life.

We never argued as I accepted that she was the head of the house..

Holidays , finance infact everything was in her control, my role was to keep the home and make sure she had a relaxing time when she was home, sadly she became a victim of breast cancer and I lost her , it was devastating and so hard to adjust but it's a life I will never regret

This is good.

But I think there are exceptions for women who want to lead the household.

Let's say she agrees to lead the household more financially. She will still expect her husband to be her driver, and house security guard, and take care of home repairs and maintenance. She will also be able to go out to buy groceries and heavy items without bothering her. Which is actually good I think.

Sometimes a man brings some rules, order and boundaries for the children in the house but because of a woman's caring nature when she earns more than her husband she fights not with logic but with the weight of her money.

This would work better in the case of childless couples.

During the 1980-1990s in my country. The government suddenly started pushing women forward.

Free education for girls, reservations and relaxation in criteria while getting admission to university and looking for a job, low or zero taxes on house-vehicle-income for women, and financial aid to women and girls.

In some communities, women are earning so much that it is becoming difficult for them to find men in their community. The same happened in my mother's case. Her female colleagues and seniors also married men outside their community and who earned less than them. They suggested the same to my mother and she did the same.

Me personally doesn’t allow a girl to take lead in a relationship , I prefer her to be my partner and we work together as a team , but I will not allow her to control me and do what she tells me to do whatsoever unless she asks me politely or in a respectful way , but the second she screams and yells at me to get her way , i will walk her ass out the door and tell her sorry you aren’t the girl for me whatsoever. I don’t care for dominate girls’ , I prefer submissive girls’ that respect me and value me the same way I do for her , No controlling whatsoever , in the bedroom that’s a different story but outside the bedroom her and I are our own people , dominate girls’ tend to control and have no respect for their partners’ they are the type of girls’ that if they don’t get their way? they try to play a victim and act like they can never be wrong. I am not knocking your relationship whatsoever, but it’s rare to hear a man happy with a controlling dominate girl , usually that man is a simp or a cuck if he allows her to take lead

My deepest condolences for your loss. Life is unfair at times but you managed to live it during those 20 years the way that suited you best and that is what matters at the end.

I am not in a relationship and I don't know what impacts on a couple when either male or female led relationship are involved. I guess that the one is more likely to be submissive but that is not really my understanding of how a couple should work. It should be a 50/50 relationship.

As soon as one partner takes the lead, it will lead to frictions because the other one is subjected to the "rules" of the leading partner. If anyone that is the follower is extrovert, this will cause conflicts.

If occupying a submissive role was what made you happy, then who is anyone to judge.

All I know is that it would not work for me.

My husband tends to lead but leaves stuff hor me to handle at home, paying bills, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry and taking care of our child.

I like him being head of the household and he's a take charge kinda guy. We are a team, I will influence him in some of the decisions he makes.

I believe that there are all kinds of dynamics for relationships that suit different types of people. There's no "one size fits all" kind of relationship. I'd definitely say it's a more uncommon dynamic and one that not many men or women would feel comfortable with, but to each their own.

I'm thinking of being in one. I'm disabled and I kept working on myself and thought from society I just need to be better, stronger, take on more to fit in but it's not possible for me. I don't need her to do everything I'm good with money for instance but I need someone who can just be in charge of day to day stuff so I don't have to spend all my energy on it and then I'll spend it instead giving more socially with her and others and just helping out with the things that I'm good at. Like if someone tells me to do something or we make a plan that's ok but the constant thinking and planning and pushing myself etc.

I don't know I never thought of it before now because these kind of relationships never really get talked about and I'm dumb socially. I don't just figure things out on the side I have to put my focus on it or there will be literally 0 progress. And I don't pick up useful information either somebody has to help me or specifically tell me things. And I had to work on a lot of different things before I got to the social side because in the beginning of my life socialising only seemed like a negative.

I have a friend who said she knows women who are looking for that kind of relationship and it's given me back hope and optimism. I don't know how it'll turn out though we'll have to see.
