Do guys that are friends "call dibs" on a girl?

I met this guy in one of my college classes...we spoke in class but that was the extent of our relationship. Eventually, however, I was introduced to his friend, and he and I hit it off really well. We went on a great first date and he asked me out for a second one, but then things changed. All of the sudden he stopped talking to me, and his friend (the original guy from my class) STARTED talking to me every day and asking me to do things with him.

I have never given the guy from my class any signals that would indicate I was interested in him, and he was the one that introduced me and his friend in the first place. He was also never interested in hanging out or speaking extensively until after he realized I went out with his friend. I don't understand...if a guy meets a girl first, does that mean he can call dibs on her or something?

I didn't read what you said but I just went from the title and from my experiences with friends, all girls are fair game,until you make them yours.

My friend at work and I liked this girl so we actually betted on who could get her first.

Yea, probably no dibs, unless you are already established some how....its more likely that the guy lost interest temporarily, & the other guy picked it up

you do of course have a say in how you relate to them

do not flirt with the guy you do not like,thats all

if the other one likes you at some point you will know :)

if not there are other guys, but you know that :)

I think guys call dibs on girls for sure! I know my older brother does and a lot of my male friends do it, too. Bros over hoes, right?
