My boyfriend doesn't want to come to my graduation dinner?

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 11 months now. and I invited him to my college graduation dinner. He seemed kind of wishy washy and said he might have to work unless it was on the weekend and that he didn't know. I told him it was on the weekend and he said sure. but then he asked if I was sure I wanted him there cause he wasn't graduating until the year after. Seems to me like he was making excuses but maybe it's all in my head. Am i overreacting?

If it was me and my girl asked me to do anything, especially something as big as a graduation dinner, you bet your a** I'd be there, especially after 11 months

no, drag his ass out to the car and tell him he's going. thats a big accomplishment and he should definitely be there to support you.
