Boyfriend heard me fart! So embarrassing?

Question

We've been living together for over 8 months and so far I have managed to keep my burps and farts to myself lol. But last night when he came home from work he was feeling extra playful. We were sitting on the floor in our living room and he was tickling me so much I could hardly breathe! Everything goes downhill from here lol. He literally held my arms away so I wouldn't get away and kept going at it. I told him to stop at least 3 times lol but he didn't and my laughter just pushed the fart out! It was a very tiny one but he still heard it and died laughing/literally couldn't stop for at least 5 minutes. He was all "Was that a fart, Kristen? Girls don't fart." There was no denying it and obviously I blushed bright red and was like "I couldn't hold it!" He was laughing so much and I was madly embarrassed but he just hugged me and told me to not be embarrassed. Even though I know he just found it humorous it's still sucks because I didn't ever want him to hear me fart! He teased me about it afterwards and was like "You're too pretty to fart." I just hit him playfully and told him to shut up but he's still not dropping it and I'm simply mortified! He told his friends and they all made fun of me over it. How to get over this embarrassing moment? Suggestions? Is he officially unattracted to me now? LOL

He told you, don't be embarrased, stop listening to guys that have such sexist views about women that say they shouldn't fart, don't let other guys make you feel insecure and don't think about other men, you have a boyfriend now and he seems to adore you and doesn't care if you fart so i think it's time to let your guard down with him and just fart around him, it just makes me so sad that other girls are made to feel insecure about simple bodly functions... it's not right... you know it's not right so why be embarrased?, it's a stupid, old aged thing that only prude victorian women were told to bellieve, so just chill and far whenever you want.

Acknowledging a natural human function is an essential part of life. Crap literally happens. To all of us. If honesty and openness are key components to any healthy relationship, why hide the inevitable?

I’m not saying that you should be dropping stink bombs left, right and centre with a guy, I understand that you have manners. However, if one little fart does happen to slip out… blame it on him and laugh it off. He’ll probably find it cute.

I generally feel if you can't fart with someone you are not comfortable around them.

If you're human, you're going to fart, you're going to burp, you're going to puke, and do all other kinds of gross things and if you and your boyfriend are in a serious (which it sounds like you are) he's going to have to be there for all of that. And he'll do plenty of gross stuff, too; it's part of life with a partner. I highly doubt he's unattracted to you now, he sounds like a fun lighthearted kind of guy. If him telling his friends about it bothered you, you should tell him that and he'll probably avoid doing it again 😊

Bring it up yourself before he does.
It will feel less embarrassing if you do bring it up yourself (in jokes for example) and it would be a way for you to kinda "face" your embarrassment and accept it.
It would also make him shut up, since he seems to be doing it to tease you because you want to avoid that subject.

And no, I don't think that a single incident like that can make him see you differently xD Chill

No he is not unattracted to you, it is just unusual for men to hear a woman fart, that's all ;) . by the way, he probably told his friends because of this fact, and because men are always impressed by farts (Yes, we are immature ;) ).

How to get over it? Just forget about it, he will forget about it in 2 days as well ;) . It's normal and okay to fart where your boyfriend is, it is human ;). Don't stress about it, it's just a fart.

Just forget about it and tease him when he farts as a revenge ;) .

Go to a novelty store and buy a whoopee cushion, inflate it, and sneak it under him as he is preparing to sit down. Then you can have a good laugh at him.

Everyone farts and we all know it. Most people won't intentionally do that in the presence of their SO, but sometimes it happens. Would you leave him if he cut the cheese and you heard it?

It's honestly not a huge deal. It's not like he ever thought that, just because you're a girl, you're incapable of farting. I mean.. just the other day while giving my boyfriend head, I started deepthroating and gagged a bit. As I coughed/gagged a bit, I definitely farted.
