+1 yIf she insulted me i would probably laugh it off.. but if she disrespected me it would cut deep.
If she was willing to work with me and understand where i was coming from i would swallow my pride but if she continued to do it and she knew it hurt me i would have a hard time ever bouncing back into loving her.
I try to believe in unconditional love but I am not at that level of maturity yet.12 Reply- +1 y
Would you wait for her to apologize? The problem usually is the fault of 2 people, not only 1. She cut you deep and and you cut her deep to. What would you do?
- +1 y
Or she's just childish.
If i did something wrong I don't play games, I apologize right away.

yes I think its a solidly needed if you ever want your relationship to grow. we all have made mistakes. And if you can't forgive someone. how can you expect to ever be forgiven of yours

I agree. Good answer.
yes I can because I know that I make mistakes too that Jesus forgave so that I can have eternal life. Plus I don't need them to be perfect to have my love, I understand no one is perfect and I extend grace and mercy to all because that's how I want Jesus to treat me!

+1 ySure. I forgive people. Sometimes ft them, sometimes just for me. i don't really know if swallowing my pride is part of it tho.

It depends on what wrong they've done and if it's forgivable.

+1 yOnly if she's willing to change. I'm willing to forgive (that has nothing to do with swallowing my ego, though), but only if it'll never happen again
12 Reply- +1 y
How would you know if she's willing to change? Would you wait for her to apologize?
It wasn't only her fault it was your fault too. - +1 y
How is it my fault? lol If I'm the one forgiving, it's her fault.
I wouldn't know for sure if she's willing to change, I'll just have to trust her and see if she does actually change.

+1 yIt depends on what the person has to offer you. If that person is truly toxic, forgive, but don't let that person in your life.
12 Reply- +1 y
toxic like how?
- +1 y
A total downer in your life and is a roadblock to your success.

+1 yYes, always. I always forgive. But the second chance part isn't always a given. It depends on the position I'm in and how badly the person could fuck me up if I depend on them again
10 Reply 4.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. That would depend on the mistake they made. Not everything can be forgiven and secondly whether to forgive or not is completely my choice.
10 Reply5.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. It really and honestly depends on what they did, I mean if it wasn't anything that bad then of course I could but if they did something really, really shitty then I don't know.

+1 y"everyone deserves a second chance" <- that's debatable
It depends on what she did. You'll have to be more specific.10 Reply- 2.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yDepends on what they did. If it was never their intention to purposefully cause me harm then yes I could, but if they actually wanted me to suffer then no I will not forgive them.
02 Reply- +1 y
When there's a problem that's the fault of 2 not the one, so I would forgive. No one is so evil to want to make you suffer. I think most people just defend themselves. Ok, tell me the case, you wouldn't forgive?

My girlfriend cheating on me is the first to come to mind. Perhaps it was not done out of malice against me but it was total disrespect and a total disregard for my feelings.
+1 yyes but it is very hard.
we become better by doing it.12 Reply- +1 y
If she hurt you really hard?
- +1 y
i am only human if she really hurt my feelings it may take a while to get over it.

+1 ydepends on what happened, mostly yes, i have forgiven someone who has cheated too, but that was LDR
10 Reply If you mean to cheating someone, the answer is no. If you love someone you don't hurt that person. It's simple logic.
10 ReplyI'd like to say yes, but depends on what happened...
10 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. depends on the mistake, when your wife of 7 months is cheating on you with the guy she dumped. to be with you. no forgiving there

Honestly? if what she did to me was very bad and she didn't acknowledge or at least apologise for what she did... I'd confront her and leave.
