Do you assume taking a "break" equals the beginning of break up? (Page 2)

I think in most cases, it can mean that the person is reconsidering the relationship, or maybe seeing someone else.  However, there are many exceptions to this scenario as well because I remember I did it once and my boyfriend got upset. I took a one week break because I wanted some space for myself and a lot of things going on at that moment. Now that I think about it, I feel guilty because I can imagine if he ever did the same, I'd get all depressed and assume he wants to break up.
