Should I tell my boyfriend what I ran into my ex today?

It was just a quick casual talk, we used to go to high school together and I saw him at my college. I dated him about 2 years ago exactly and we ended things because it got too crazy with his anger issues and we were both going through things. Anyways he just told me that he was very sorry about how uncomfortable he made me feel and how he didn't mean to completely demolish our friendship too. I guess he really got some help, he used to stalk and harass me verbally before. But as of now I'm not sure if he could flip a switch again since I still live in the same place since the summer of 2016 when we were together so I have no idea if he could still have strong feelings or not, so I will for sure keep away from him and change my route I take to go to my next class.

So should I tell my boyfriend about this over text? I can see him tonight but I can tomorrow night. We've been official since early February and I'm not sure if he'll get weird about this or not. I definitely don't keep secrets but I'm wondering how exactly will this make someone feel if I texted him something like this, and if it's ok to do or with it make things worse or complicated?

Well I told him over text and he took it pretty well. He was glad that nothing happened kind of joked and asked if I told my ex that I had a "hot, buff, and tan boyfriend now and to keep his distance" lol but he felt sorry about how I was scared in the first place and is happy there was no conflict. He just said it is probably best to no take the same route I took today to avoid him and to call the police if he follows me around again

I guess people don't read the description or the updates lol I obviously told my boyfriend already, and I would have no intention on getting with my ex again, he was so crazy. If anything I'm scared he's going to stalk me again. And I did see him on a street going to my next class so it wasn't like I was wanting to see him. But all is well now, boyfriend took everything well and didn't freak out or anything when I called later and told him the details

I would tell him that you accidentally ran into your ex-boyfriend and that you two had a simple conversation together. Oh ok, yeah think it'll be kind of awkward bringing it up in a text but then again I don't want him wonder why I told him a day later that it happened. And then bringing it up tomorrow night would be too random and I hate to talk about ex's out of nowhere, I guess over text seems nice to just get it over with and then tell him details about it tomorrow night about how I'm kind of scared about being stalked or harassed by my ex again

Alright, and yeah I feel better about venting to him because I kind of feel weird how I could see my ex again when going to my classes. It kind of set me off and I don't like the idea of my ex seeing me or knowing where I am or even looking or following me, I'm scared it could happen again

I'd suggest telling him in person. Saying it over text, well you can't express everything well enough and if he gets angry you won't know if he pretends to be whatever about it. I think you're doing the right thing being up front. Be sure to really explain why you're telling him because he may assume it's to make him jealous at the beginning.

Yeah he took it well, he wasn't upset since he was around during the time that guy was harassing me though text and calls. He used to call my phone on all sorts of numbers before I changed it so my boyfriend knows my ex was crazy. My boyfriend is more concerned about my safety again
