Why does my boyfriend not like it when I wear something that shows my cleavage?

Whenever I wear a low cut top or a low type dress showing my cleavage, he gets annoyed like
"I can see your boobs.. are you even wearing a bra?"
And then he touches it and then pulls up my top to try to cover my cleavage

I know if he sees a girl with boobs out of her top, he would stare at her
I confronted him about this
And he replied "because its a random chick on the street, you're my girlfriend, I want guys to respect you"
Wtf?

Why is it that he doesn't like it when i show my cleavage but if a random girls walks by with her cleavage out im pretty sure he would stare at her?

He doesn't want other guys doing to you what he does to other girls. He doesn't want them focusing on your tits and objectifying you. It's a stupid impulse really, to be that insecure. If other guys like how you look then I'd see that as a compliment if I were him. I'd also be secure that I was your choice, not these random other guys in the street. If they were your preferred choice then you'd be free to be with them.

People will accuse him of being insecure which is not accurate IF he's got no reason for him to feel YOU'D be tempted by other men. If he is confident that you are secure and reliable as well as authentic in the relationship and are NOT doing this for validation from other men as others here say MEN WILL LOOK and that's OK because eyes are for looking (and not just for coins on the floor or birds in the sky).

Why does he not want you showing them off? Well since scenarios can paint a picture of how this can be a guys annoyance consider this scenario. You're both out and about and dude comes over and spots your cleavage and stares at it... what does HE do? Console you that someone is staring and take you away from the situation or does he confront the them and end up getting into a conflict that makes HIM get into shit for standing up for you and into a fight or something that he doesn't want? MEN don't want to go off fighting wars and battles when they don't have to. Women who WANT this do not like men, war is shit, fighting is shit, it's dangerous and unnecessarily stressful and would be better if it didn't happen, that's not a fucking insecurity it's a desire for peace and avoidance of drama.

So before you go throwing out redundant "insecure" accusations try living in the hands of men who've been in wars and battles and would prefer to avoid them.

It is pretty straight forward. He does not want other guys to check you out. He wants the sexy side of you only for him. He does not want other guys to enjoy the view and only he has access to it.
