Diy paternity tests are on the rise and a big percentage of men have been found not to be the father of the child they were expectes to be.

This is a men's rights issue , that has gone on for eternity that feminists have been conveniently avoiding, despite their so called struggle for "equality".

Women know who their children are, they have definitive proof. Men dont.
So, with new technology, we should correct this lack of information for the male sex.

Around 10-20% of dna tests revealed that the child was not the fathers child.
In some places, it went up to 30%.

What does that say about women?
by the way, this doesn't take into account all the cheating women, only the ones that managed to have a baby with the affair. The cheating number is much higher, logically speaking.

Paternity tests should stop being a taboo subject and instead become part of testing a woman's loyalty.

I've asked before and I'm of the opinion that yes, it should be. It would alleviate pressure from many men who want to do it but are scared to ask out of fear of ruining the relationship. That and it would be a further deterrent from cheating women, hopefully.

One of the reasons the government doesn't want to do this is because they know that many families would fall apart if fathers knew that they were raising kids that were not their own. The government cares more for a kid in a family, than a man's right to know.
I guess I can see the logic in that - it is an argument to be had over which is more important - a whole family at the expense of a guy wasting his time raising some other guy's kid, or a guy's right to know. Personally, I believe the latter is more important.

That being said, i too think it has to be reversed. Once it becomes normal, paternity frauds will decrease and the family unit will be stabilized even stronger than before.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Some people would rather not know the truth. From my POV, when my ex told me she was pregnant i didn't doubt her, would i have ever got a test done, i dont know. I had always thought beforehand i would for any pregnancy but i was 100% that it was mine (we lost it so irrelevant now).
I think if you want routine genetic testing to purposes of diagnostics for likely medical problems then fine. Otherwise it peoples choicecwhethwr to do or not

Lets assume a test can be done for $10. 130million children born annually. $1.3 billion. Who's paying that? Where are the testing facilities to handle 130 million tests worldwide? Any system where you're testing that many, there are going to be errors. Any administration on this scale will make mistakes, mix ups in the labs, people getting wrong results. Corruption, people taking bribes to change test results. Mandatory wouldn't work.

I dont think i mentioned anything else that should be viewed as controversial.

The reason i fix on female promiscuity is because of three reasons :
1) male cheating doesn't affect me personally.
Im into women so im more concerned about women's loyalty.
2) in my experience, i have found that women cheat more.
And 3) women dont end up having to deal with the child that the affair of her man produced.
Thats a male-only issue.

I had seen various sources before, that claimed anywhere from 3-10% false paternity rates. If there is that much variation, either they must have used unreliable methods or they all had some sort of bias.

Anyway, that in itself was shocking to me, this video/source only confirmed my fears.

And my point is that it should be used more commonly than just for legal reasons.

It would cost too much for it to be mandatory. These tests you speak of are also tests that don't require the permission of the mother, so any guy who wants to test it privately can.

You used to have to have the consent of the mother but of course if the guy suspected cheating, she could still say no and he'd be none the wiser. When imthe results have been shown to be between 10-30% not the father, that to me is a little fucked up. But like I said, that isn't the case now.

It should also be noted that the guys who take these tests are mostly guys who suspect cheating. Often they have reasons to suspect it, maybe the kid doesn't look like them at all or he's seen signs that she's cheated, so it's not that the average guy is taking these tests and it's coming up with 10-30% - it's just that 10-30% of men who had reasons to suspect it are proven right. In the general population the percentage will be much lower.

I absolutely agree. The paternity fraud cases would go down, cheating wouldn't be as common, that difficult conversation with your partner is averted, and we know that kid is ours. What's the downside?

Hopsitals dont really make mistakes that much anymore. A 10- 20 % false paternity rate isn't coming from hospital mistakes. Its coming from unloyal women.

Sounds like a huge waste of rescources on many couples who aren't concerned. If you are concerned, thats your personal issue and you can pay for a test or take it to court and try and get someone else to pay. Like if couple thinks maybe their baby was switched at the hospital, they have to present a reason why they think the baby they took home isn't theirs. The hospital dont waste time/rescources willy nilly.
