I think it has been and always will be women. And I still don't think the number of guys out there who are sad about not having a girlfriend really match, and not even the ones on GaG like I'm sure some are going to point out.
Today I'm seeing some of my female friends who are single or "just dating" posting stuff on Facebook that's about Valentine's Day being every day, or trying to post a bunch of random stuff to distract from it when some of them do not even really post that often.
Right now I'm single and not particularly trying to get into a relationship and I'm good with that. Only thing I can honestly say I'm really interested in is just having a sex partner, and I've even been lazy about pursuing that with how exhausted I feel by the time the weekend comes. So I try to take the easy way out by looking for hook ups online lol. There is a woman in an 'open marriage' who is open to sleeping with me but I just can't do it lol.
Anyway, what do you think? Are women bothered more by being single? Or men?

I've definitely met guys like that, but I don't think their numbers still match womens'. One reason being that women often try to use 'choice' as a way to make themselves feel better about their singleness. "I'm single by choice" I don't hear men say that as often as women, although when it bothers men they will be pouty about how they're single not by choice so that someone will feel sorry for them. Women also use 'choice' out of narcississm: "I choose to be single" "I can choose when I want to have sex" etc. Women egotistically believe their status or ability to do anything with a man always is within their power.
You can never expect woman to vote anything honorably cuz they will always turn that into man vs woman mentality. I am not amazed that now woman have get upper hand on men in rights and they abuse them like crazy and consider them superior cuz it's their flock mentality... if 1 falls in to ditch others will follow with no regard for common sense. anyway woman are 1000% times more desperate for relationships and it's their ultimate life goal to get married and have kids and you can ask 35+ single white females for confirmation about it. Guys on the other hand are only intrested in sex and if you remove "religious and cultural initiatives" guy will never ever end up in marriage or relationship and bang woman with no regard for their future. Relationships and marriage only favours woman and in 21st century where we can even cook/clean ourselves... marriage is foul plan that only benefits woman and kinda death warrants... you will never go sky diving if 50% parachute fail to open and trust your life with it... then why support marriage?

If woman really hates us that much to say no 90% of population... then certainly they won't be pursuing relationship/getting themselves ready/wasting money on costly perfumes and make-up/making accounts on dating website brother but they are and I don't think 90% of woman say no its more like 50-40% but I don't know where you are from... so things may vary by area. When we can't date then they buy it in clubs. The male incentive for relationship is sex while woman incentive is stable relationship and family, in 21st you can get a lot of sex with-out marriage with multiple partners that keep it interesting but ITS VERY BORING TO BANG THAT OLD HAG and studies prove that married couples rarely have sex anyway. You have to up your game if you are rejected by 90% of woman brother cuz that number is really concerning and I bet you don't have stable earning or lack techniques /manners to get the ladies.

I'm sure its women. I'm 19 and I've never dated. Everyone in my family has dated including my 15 year old sister... DO U KNOW HOW SAD THAT IS? But and incident happened with my friend last week. Apparently he likes me but I just see him as a friend. We don't talk that often because in college it can be hard to cross paths with people when your trying to get to your classes.
I'm really good at reading people, so I knew immediately when he started liking me. And my friend also told me that he said he liked me to her. I didn't say anything, but the problem I have is when he stares. It gives me overwhelming stress cause I don't know what to do in the situation cause I don't feel the same way about him.
So after this experience, I actually realized I love being single. I enjoy my independence, and for the first time ever, I'm not looking for a relationship. But up until then it was "I want to be in a relationship so bad!" So yes, girls are way more into it than guys. But that doesn't mean guys are any less of wanting a relationship too.
well I think men are more bothered, because many guys don't have the control or allure to where they feel they will enjoy single life and bang a bunch of chicks to make it enjoyable. More often, many guys are single not from choice but because they are not getting dates which means lack of sex. Women can get laid easily or easier than guys, but women more often are choosing to hold off on sex if they want to and be more fine if they aren't getting sex when single. And the reason is because some women choose to be single because they aren't emotionally ready for a relationship yet, but they don't want to just fuck around.
So they can bang good looking guys if they want and may go on dates, but cut it off if they feel said guys don't want to commit so being purposely abstinent until the right guy comes around and then sex comes. AS a result, being single is more often sexless more often and more so for guys on not on purpose whereas, if it's sexless for women, it's on purpose. In the natural world only dominant males had women, I think the number was 1male to 17 females leaving many males single so they naturally evolved to adapt and survive single over hundreds of millennia. The male evolved in mind to be single as survival. Women on the other hand were/are more valuable in reproduction and so they evolved more protected and coddled; therefore, they are behind many millennia evolving to a fish that truly is in her own without a bicycle. I think on a personal level, it's men. But on a societal level, as in peer pressure, it's women.
A man being single is more socially accepted even though he is actually more likely to be desperate for a relationship deep inside.
A woman being single is less accepted by society and even though she herself wouldn't feel much need for a man, she faces more mean comments from other people about how her biological clock is ticking and men will not desire her anymore and all... And a lot of women's depression from being single derives from being demoralized by people's comments.
Actually it is the opposite. Men who are single are more often jeered at and joked about, and have to face scrutiny from people for almost anything he says or does, especially if it's about women: what he says or does must be the result of him being single. Whereas women are not quite stigmatized like that for being single.
More often women are desperate for relationships because they hate the idea of being single for a long time while they watch other women they know getting into relationships, and as one of the guys who answered noted - which was a really good point - is that women will be so desperate for a relationship that they will even resort to dating their own gender. Men do not go that far even in their desperation.

I believe women are, at least from an evolutionary biological reasoning. Keep in mind, women sought out protection, resources, and dependence from men for a long time and even now the residual instincts of this has not changed. Just because a man is single DOES NOT mean he is not having sex. So, when you mean âsingleâ I believe youâre referring to relationships, which affirms my answer that women are a lot more bothered not being in a relationship than are bothered not being in a relationship.

Factoring all that in, my guess is that women are more bothered by being single overall. HOWEVER, that number is far offset by men who are bothered by not getting laid irrespective of relationship status!

Women, cause they have the biological clock issue, and guys are after younger girls 80% of the time, so the longer they are single, the more stressful it becomes. Me personally I dont care, I love the freedom, but the worst part is that others find problem with it. Especially my mom, so I imagine its the same for other girls.
Well, it bothers me to be single, but I can say its 50-50 both guys and girls hoe around and both can be bothered by being single. But realistically girls are more sensitive and require attention so if she was single she'd be craving the love she needs.
Does not apply to me personally , but I will say men more on average , and the reasons are : Girls / women have better support networks of both genders , and also much closer , and also quite tactile , own gender friendships. Men , if single , tend to be on their own in life. However , there is no guarantee of having a supportive partner in a relationship either... which is far worse... I know !! Also , esp in younger men , men have the double curse of a much higher sex drive than their female counterparts , combined with limited - no access to sexual partners in many cases. So glad my Male Curse has greatly faded. I'm a single FT working dad , and much happier remaining single , no bitterness against women , just can't be bothered with the farcical chore of dating.. ie multiple job interviews , and prefer my own company. I do have great female platonic friends , and do not want anything more.

Nope,,, this is one that is definitely not inherently gender specific or even a big disparity in the average... Really only dependent on the person in this case,, the ability to operate independently, the lack of insecurity, emotional maturity, EQ and personality type is what dictates this...
Both are pretty even, it all depends on the person's personality. Some people need someone to share everything with and to have someone to depend on to be there for them. Others aren't interested and just roll with whatever happens. So it's always going to be different for different sorts of people.
