She called me genuine. What does this mean? Am I just a friend to her or is there potential for more?

I've been in a situationship with someone for a couple months now. I've had the feeling for a while that I'm just a friend to her. We hang out and i stay the night at her house almost everyday. I sleep on the couch when I stay over.

Then earlier today out of nowhere she tells me " I just wanted to say you are a genuine and awesome person and I'm glad you're in my life".

I responded saying thank you and told her I thought she's amazing and I'm also happy to be in her life. I don't know if I said something wrong but she didn't respond for a couple hours and whatever that was she didn't continue it. She just changed the subject.

Before she said this she sent me a screenshot of some lotion she's been looking for and it had one of those active chat heads for Facebook where she was talking to another dude. I ignored it since we're just friends right now anyway. I dont know if that's relevant information or not. Because she has said before she isn't interested in the guy.

I just dont know what to think.
