It depends a little bit in what context you are meeting people, but if it's online you need a killer bio. Girls read that.
If it's in person, be warm and friendly and have a decent wardrobe.
Don't reach for the top, the ones who are really good looking, vain, and everyone else goes for. Be realistic.
Prioritize commonalities, personality, and depth. Sex is easy. Finding someone you can spend hours and hours with and be comfortable and talk with... for those you need to have some patience and get to know who they are, deep down.

Well you're anon so I haven't seen it. But in so far as that you can:
1. Work on the photography and get someone close in your life that you trust, or a professional, to take some good photos of you.
2. Pull way back, not focusing on the face close-up, and show more the activities that you like. Outdoor shots are always a big plus.

I’ll be honest with you, you would have to be highly educated, have status, have money, and/or be good-looking. Also, since you are below-average looking you have to accept lowering your standards, though there are some women who wants a morally good man if you are one. Be confident and forward. Don’t wait for the woman to initiate or lead the conversation because you’ll get nowhere. Dress to impress and groom well. Little things can help improve your appearance, cut out the sugar/carbs, drink water only, sleep 8-10 hrs, limit social media and looking at attractive men (distraction), and exercise regularly. Take a walk outside, talk to people in your community, work, and in no time, a lady will notice you. Personally, I like men who have their own hobbies and have a job. They don’t have women on their mind always because it makes them seem desperate.

Statistically, more than 90% of people get married.
No more than 50% of the population can be above the median for looks.
The other 50% of the population is below the median.
At least 40/50 of those get married.
That means at least 80% of guys and girls below the median get married.

That's marriage. The number who have had girlfriends or boyfriends will be even higher. Plus a lot of good looking guys and girls don't get married by choice.

This means that the large majority of people get a partner ***no matter what they look like***.

The same numbers apply to looks, height, weight, intelligence, financial status, etc.

In other words, none of those things keep you from getting a partner. Some might make it easier, but none prevent you from getting someone.

I have no idea what you look like. But I've known some pretty ugly dudes who got girls. And they weren't rich either.

You get a girlfriend the same way as anyone else. You might have to work harder, or it might take more contacts, but you still do the same thing.

Besides, you didn't ask if you are ugly or good looking. You asked how to get a girlfriend. If you've already given up, why ask?

If you go around thinking "I'm ugly I'm ugly I'm ugly" it doesn't exactly send out inviting body language. You probably get tired of hearing about confidence. But confidence shows on your face and improves your looks. Being happy and enjoying life shows on your face. A genuine smile definitely shows on your face. Your physical conditions shows on your face. Your overall health shows on your face.

All of those things add up and can make a really big difference. Your face is more than rigid unchanging features. It's a lot more than that.

Sounds like an excuse, if no woman will give you a chance you have to first give them a chance to give you that chance.

Besides, bulk rejection on a massive scale helps you realize not everyone will find you attractive, and it isn't personal, because you asking them out wasn't personal either if they're a stranger.

My best suggestion is to just ask out as many women as you talk with and:
A) Find attractive
B) Can hold a conversation with

Because really, a date is just two people going "Well, I am physically attracted to this person, lets see if I like to be around them".
